À propos de cet audio
He was supposed to be a myth.
But from the moment I crossed the River Styx and fell under his dark spell...he was, quite simply, mine.
Society darling Persephone Dimitriou plans to flee the ultra-modern city of Olympus and start over far from the backstabbing politics of the Thirteen Houses. But all that's ripped away when her mother ambushes her with an engagement to Zeus, the dangerous power behind their glittering city's dark facade.
With no options left, Persephone flees to the forbidden undercity and makes a devil's bargain with a man she once believed a myth...a man who awakens her to a world she never knew existed.
Hades has spent his life in the shadows, and he has no intention of stepping into the light. But when he finds that Persephone can offer a little slice of the revenge he's spent years craving, it's all the excuse he needs to help her - for a price. Yet every breathless night spent tangled together has given Hades a taste for Persephone, and he'll go to war with Olympus itself to keep her close....

There are plenty of scenes to keep you warm at night but it’s really lacking in the angst and chemistry that keeps the reader coming back for more. It’s almost pwp. There is no character development or world building.
There’s no fantasy in this Romantasy, It falls flat for me. Needs more ooomph.
Spicy without flavour

Please hold your laughter and doubts for a moment 🤣🤣
I understand that most people read this book for the smut, and I admit I was curious what the buzz was about. But I went into this book assuming that was ALL it was.
It's not.
In fact, I actually found myself skimming through some of the steamy parts because I really wanted to know what was going to happen!!!
This was my first read of a re-telling of mythology, and it has definitely made me want me to read more..
My only gripe was when the male reader read Persephone's lines....a little painful haha.
Looking forward to the next book and also more re-tellings!!
I loved this story!!

On the eve of a dangerous and unwanted engagement, Persephone runs until she crosses paths with Hades, a broody and mythical saviour. They strike a bargain to get back at Zeus, the man who wronged them, only to find themselves undeniably attracted to each other.
I quite enjoyed Persephone and Hades. Despite their personality differences, they had a great chemistry. Persephone was refreshing and independent. I enjoyed her scenes immensely. Hades had good development and was very devoted to the well-being of his surprise guest.
While it goes without saying that the plethora of spicy scenes were SPICY, I appreciated the emphasis on consent. Hades was definitely a dom, but he put enormous care on Persephone’s sexual well-being, something that I feel is missing from some fantasy romances.
The setting and world-building were a little weak, since they were not the focus. While the mythology was bent to suit the story, it was never clear if these were deities, or just borrowing names and tropes. Those aspects could have been clearer, even if this is a modern retelling.
Still, I had a great time reading this. It was a fun, sexy, modern retelling with just enough stakes to move the plot along. If you want a steamy escape for the weekend, this is the book for you!
Spicy Fun
