I'm am kind of uncomfortable with this relationship. I the controling, passesiveness, and having to be with her a all time just feels abusive to me.

If you’re looking for sexy reading, this will do it. I just kept waiting for a twist or a story. I didn’t like the way the narrator made the main character so mean.

I love Jodi Ellen Malpas and all of her work. this one I have read over a dozen times and after listening to the audible it will definitely be one that I listen to in my car more often. as the series grows it gets more and more intriguing with each book I can promise you that. this is one that got me back into reading and I couldn't put it down and usually it's hard for me to listen to audiobooks sometimes as I don't like certain people's tone of voice but this one did very well. if you like steamy romance this is one for you but trust me this whole series is a roller coaster but it's so worth it.

I enjoyed the book is an understatement. Level 10 antsy thought so be warned. Spicy scenes are the best I’ve come across. Men’s voice could be better is my only critique.

**Books 1-3 : This is an interesting detailed romance series with a rather full story line. In some respects the story is unique and refreshing. However, there are a few annoyances. The characters are quite flawed and the psychology of the series is rather fictionalized. There is some therapeutic value / healing / overcoming but it's rather fictionalized in some regards. If this was based on a true story I'd suggest they have a few years of counselling. Thank goodness it's fiction and with that in mind, overcoming can happen in a month or so along with some co-dependence thrown in the mix. Regardless, I do appreciate the theme of using tragedy to learn and become a better person. The other annoyance is that the books have at least three areas of text regarding events / descriptions that contradict other areas of text. This is annoying and should have been edited. It's difficult to say whether this book series will bother readers who want trigger warnings....idk... Possible triggers differ in type and severity from book to book.
Despite a couple of somewhat annoying voice interpretations, the narrator did a great job regarding some complex passages and very many characters needing a voice.
