Mattie Roberts is a devoted mother and grandmother; her first priority is family. Her accomplishments include a master's degree in Gerontology; a BA and AA in Sociology. Mattie enjoys writing simple fiction and non-fictions regarding Social Issues. Mattie Roberts is a faithful Christian. She promotes Love, Peace, and Harmony; and she devotes much of her attention to the homeless and to homelessness. Mattie resides in Oklahoma City, OK. In college, Mattie was a Mc Nair Scholar. Mattie is included in the 70th edition of Who's Who; and she received the National Academic Achievement Award in 2003. She has been a volunteer at various non-profit organizations including Today's Alcohol & Drug Counselors of America (TADCA) and State Ombudsman Volunteer certified. Mattie's first book was published in 2011. The book is titled: Theresa Johnson: The Search for Her Beloved. It is based on a Bible scripture; Songs of Solomon 3:2. Mattie's second published book is titled: Theresa Johnson: Black Like Me; both are available as Kindle ebooks. It is based on the injustices of colorism, racism, and bigotry. Mattie is in the process of writing another book.
