Peter Pitsch was born in Herford, Germany. He lived successively in Berlin, Amsterdam and Rome. During a long stay in Italy he gained experience as an actor, played in 12 films and toured with a theatre group. Afterwards he moved to Denmark and lived a few years in Copenhagen's Vesterbro district. Beginning of the nineties he published his first book, followed by various publications. Furthermore his reviews, poems and prose texts were included in magazines and anthologies. In the year 2000 he moved to Nykøbing on the island of Falster. Peter Pitsch is a member of the Danish writers' association "stORDstrømmen". Since 2011 the German publisher "Brighton Verlag" by Frankfurt releases most of his books. His publications include novels, books of poetry, narratives, children's books, art volumes and one guidebook. In addition to literary writing he works as a translator and is dedicated to visual arts and the design of book covers. Peter has an art gallery in Nykøbing´s Latin district. His lyrics mix the beautiful with the ugly, the delicat with the grotesque and rise repeatedly the question: Who or what are we basically; or are we already completely penetrated by a preconceived idea of the "one and only world"? http://peter-pitsch-schriftsteller.jimdo.com/
