Née à Taipei et vivant actuellement à Londres, ShaoLan Hsueh est une créatrice, entrepreneure, 'geek', écrivain, voyageuse, et rêveuse. Chineasy est basé sur une méthode inventée par ShaoLan pour aider ses deux enfants nés en Angleterre à lire le Chinois. Elle a lancé Chineasy suite à la vague d'enthousiasme générée par sa participation à la conférence TED Talk de Long Beach en Californie en 2013. Son objectif pour Chineasy est d'aidé le plus grand nombre à comprendre la Chine, la culture Chinoise et cette langue réputée difficile. Pour elle, Chineasy est également un projet artistique. Elle a en effet grandit au sein d'une famille d'artistes, étant la fille d'un céramiste et d'une calligraphe. Her aim with Chineasy is to help anyone in the world to understand China, Chinese culture and its language. For her this is also an arts project, as she grew up in an artistic family, being the daughter of a ceramic artist and a calligrapher. She is connecting the dots by going back to her artistic upbringing, and connecting her life's journey through the East and West.
