Wendy started singing and writing folk songs in her teens. She has always written poetry and has had some poems published in the San Francisco Writers Conference Anthology and the Redwood Writers Anthology. She was a teacher of young children for many years, has written, illustrated and published five children’s books, and also writes YA and adult novels. Wendy is interested in the Indie publishing world and is a member of the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association (BAIPA) and the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). Her daughter, Elizabeth Stark, is a traditionally published writer, a well-respected and brilliant online writing teacher who also teaches writing in person in the Bay Area. (BookWritingWorld.com). Wendy Bartlett won the top prize at the San Francisco Writers Conference for the manuscript for Cellini’s Revenge: The Mystery of the Silver Cups. With the prize, part of which was a publishing package, she published her novel, Broad Reach - Passion and Adventure - Sailing in the South Pacific, and two years later, Cellini’s Revenge, Book One. Cellini's Revenge, Book 2, came out in summer, 2020, and Book 3 was published Fall, 2021. An editor from BAIPA told Wendy that Girl With a Violin, her most recent, novel, (published Fall, 2021), might make a good film. Wendy wrote the screenplay for it, and it is now available as an audio play, complete with music, Fall, 2021. Samples can be heard at: https://bit.ly/BartlettGWAV, (copy-paste), where it can be bought. It can also be bought through Audible. Wendy thinks you will enjoy this audio play very much!
