Histoire
Fifteen months ago Detective Lindsay Boxer's life was perfect - she had a beautiful child and a doting husband, Joe, who helped her catch a criminal who'd brazenly detonated a bomb in downtown San Francisco, killing 25 people. But Joe wasn't everything that Lindsay thought he was, and she's still reeling from his betrayal as a wave of mysterious and possibly unnatural heart attacks claims seemingly unrelated victims across San Francisco.

JUST AWFUL
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
No one
Has 15th Affair turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from 15th Affair?
I would give the main character back her testosterone!
Any additional comments?
It is so full of out of place cliche's to the point of annoying. And the lead character who used to be a great San Francisco cop is not nothing more than a whiney soap opera character. Nothing can save this book...and I read all 14 previous books and liked every one of them.

Unlucky Readers #15 is a Deadly Sin
I used to love this series when all 4 of the women were involved in a storyline. More depth is needed with a situation in which all women are involved. Now the stories are a soap opera about Lindsey and Joe. I actually spaced out a couple of times while listening and didn't miss anything. Their baby Julie gets just as much attention as Martha the dog. Boring...
Claire is only found in a morgue or around a dead body. She has a husband and what is going on with her baby? Sookie did little and only made 2 appearances in this story. The journalist and Boxer's partner are in a relationship. We only know that they sleep, actually sleep, together. No passionate sex, secret trysts, arguments about not providing inside scoops on stories. Boring...
Finally, there are so many questions and loose ends. Nice that the two cases were related to each other. How did ace detective Boxer not know what her husband truly did to make a living? After this book, how can she ever trust him again?
Having a baby is really inconvenient. I feel bad for her for never seeing her parents. The nanny is always ready to jump in and take care of her. The nanny also prepares dinner for Lindsey and Joe. How convenient that the nanny is a neighbor who lives across the hall. Will we soon find out that she has a criminal past? Why isn't Lindsey's sister around more?
I think Julie should be kidnapped and all the women have a part in locating her.
This story involved a mystery woman who some how has a relationship with Joe. Readers never know the reality of the relationship. What we learn is pretty suspicious and incredible. Would like to see her interact more with her husband and children. The oldest daughter is interesting. Why did the story end so abruptly?
The potential for the authors to get back to good story telling is there. Let's hope that they do so soon before no one cares about 16th, 17th....20th.

The end of the Lindsey road for me
Way to far fetched. No real story depth with plane crash. Relationship with Joe makes her a 1950s wife- needy and forgiving. Also not much of a mom character. Good bye Murder Club.

This May Be My Last Woman's Murder Club Book
It hurts me to say that after following the series for 15 books I may be finished with it, but I CANNOT take the way they've written the irrational, judgemental, overdramatic, whiny lead character Lindsay Boxer. In the last few books, I've started to become annoyed with her character more and more, but this book took it to a whole new level! Her ridiculous treatment and overblown mental scenarios of Joe were just over the top and irrational at best. It was so bad, I was actively rooting against Boxer, hoping that the authors would just kill her off and put her out of her self inflicted misery. I lost count how many times I rolled my eyes at the questions she asked herself regarding Joe. At the ending "cliffhanger", my final thought was "I'm done with this series... this is ridiculous. I no longer like the main character"
The rest of the story was implausibly entertaining. It kind of follow suits with other James Patterson books. The narrator also did a great job with the characters. I would say her male voices were okay, but not bad.
I would recommend the narrator, but if you want to hear a supposedly strong, independent lead female character, whine like a teen girl implausibly over her "man", overlook her own faults and irrationally judge others, then I'd recommend this book to you.

boxer point of view.
Enough already with the whiny hurt feelings of poor Lindsay Boxer and her mistrust of her husband who is doing his job. It's taking over the story line and made me fast forward through 20 percent of the book. I almost deleted the book several times. Concentrating on Lindsay and her feelings of love and emotions is killing the reason I listen to the series. It is probably my last book in this series I will buy. Really dissapointing.
