I loved the narration and each main character having their own voice. It really added to the story and made it that much richer. The storyline itself was very enjoyable. Emmy is a great strong fmc and Killian is by far the cutest golden retriever mmc ever. Can’t wait to listen to the next book!

Absolutely loved the story telling and how the actors really embodied their characters. The group chats in audio had me cackling 😂 I am dying to get the next 2 books on audio as it just makes the story that much better. Plus hearing more Slade and Fin ugh cannot wait!! Congrats on the phenomenal work. This is a why choose shifter fated mates story with a cool modern city twist to shifters. Absolutely adore it.

This audiobook was freaking amazing! Full cast narration with sound effects, sign me up! I could not stop reading this book, I needed to know what was going to happen.

Emmy was a strong-willed FMC who ran her entire life. Emmy’s childhood trauma lead to a deep seated fear of belonging to a Quintent (pack). Emmy associated the quintet with pain and suffering. In comes in her Alpha’s, who were nothing like she thought they would be. The tension and chemistry was palpable.

I really enjoyed the push-pull and Emmy really holding her own. When it comes to why choose books, I need every MMC to have their own distinct voice and personality, and A Curse of Fate delivered. All the MMC’s (Hunter, Slade, Finley & Kellan) were all so different. I loved them all! I can’t wait for book 2!

The cliffhanger for this book was rough, and I had to immediately download book 2!

This was my introduction into Jaymins worlds and I loved this book so much I binged reading the rest and am (Im)patiently waiting for book 4 cause so far it’s been a ride and now hearing this book come to life *chefs kiss* the whole cast is amazing and I love how they bring these characters together so perfectly :) I was so pumped to learn Jake Bordeaux would be voicing Kellan he was the best choice for him! He really brings the golden retriever energy that is the Golden Boy and this is made clear in chapter 17 when the family group chat is introduced, I’m in tears!🤣

A Curse of Fate by Jaymin Eve is an emotionally charged shifter romantasy packed with fated mates, possessive alphas, emotional tension, and a heroine determined to fight destiny.
Emme was easily the standout for me. Her fear of pack bonds and refusal to blindly accept fate made her feel far more grounded than many romantasy heroines. I appreciated that her trauma wasn’t instantly solved through romance, and the slower emotional build between her and the pack worked really well.
The four alphas each brought something different to the story:
Hunter: intense and dominant
Kellan: golden retriever energy perfection
Slade: dangerous wildcard
Finley: broody and emotionally guarded
While I loved the chemistry and emotional tension, I did feel like the world-building and plot progression could have gone deeper. Much of the story felt like setup for future books rather than a fully developed payoff. Some sections also dragged due to repetitive internal conflict.
Still, the emotional core, pack dynamics, and addictive tension kept me invested the entire time.
