Histoire
An end of the world. The start of a new one. A thousand places to be. Artorian has survived his encounter at the Ziggurat, but at a sharp cost. However, the powers in the world are moving and there is no time to rest. Even if Artorian doesn’t realize his part in it, the next stage of the great plan is set in motion. In a place of mountains and dales, the old scholar must seek new information in order to puzzle out the last pieces and gather victory with his own two hands.

Histoire
Artorian has been given the lovely opportunity to run a realm and sort out all of its inherent issues. Not only does he get to chase around people with world-shattering abilities and force them into hibernation, he gets to break up his days by living through the worst portions of his life all over again. Between constant battles, Cal’s newfound love for math and pylons, the early stages of a world-spanning game system, and grumpy supervisors who refuse their bedtime…the sunny administrator has his now-tiny hands full. Exactly how he likes it.

Histoire
Artorian gave up his administrator privileges only to be thrust into a new role. The law he is bound to allows him to slip past Eternium’s ironclad rules and break things once thought immutable. For his family, for all of their futures, he must boldly go where few in Cal like to venture: the game world of Eternia. Most of the people that have come to test this world hate being here: dying in days and returning home in disarray.

Histoire
Artorian has seen better days. Chased by demons, hunted by the Red Inkquisition, on the run as a fugitive...and he’s spent barely any time in Eternia. Stuck as a tiny noodle dragon and formed into a crown to decorate the heads of Nobility, he is forced to rely on his friends instead of fixing the issues of the world himself. Luckily for everyone else, the plucky grandfather does not know how to quit. If all Artorian can do is wiggle, then he will wiggle fiercely! By unearthing the secrets of the deity system, he’ll find what it takes to make the true tools of victory.

Artorian wakes on a brand-new planet, refreshed and ready to make some mischief now that he’s back in Cal’s soul space! Eternium is old news; in fact, now that Barry is completely forked, the curtains on Eternia’s Alpha have closed. Being awake has its upsides, but there are a few...concerns. Cal, even unconscious, is pushing the boundaries of the double-S ranks. With oaths and promises in peril, should he breach that rank before letting people live their lives, Artorian will hustle and bustle to lay the groundwork for mass-decanting. After his town is put to the sword and the children are taken to replace the fallen, an old man is out for revenge. He’s ready to fail at the most difficult challenge in the world: cultivation. Too corrupted to even take the first steps, the sly old elder simply agreed with those who told him that it was impossible. Then, he quietly ignored them, rubbed his hands together, and started anyway. He had always failed in what he did. The only thing that had never failed him was his sharp mind and philosophy. He would cultivate...no matter what it cost him.

Artorian welcomes home old friends, glad for their company. Having finally returned Cal to the seat of his sanctuary, he must cast aside other whims and assume the mantle of Administrator, continuing the diplomacy that came with the creation of Accords. Regardless of agreements, some diplomacy must always be spoken with fists. To prepare for the second coming of Eternium, Cal’s space must stand firm, resolute, and without danger...even if Artorian must contend with a city of tears to attain that result.

Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns. The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most.

Description
A whole new world. Well, the framework. Surely nothing will go wrong.
Artorian shrugged off moonfall and war like it was a gentle rain and must now face new trials. Specifically: life in the world created by the Dungeon Core, Cal. Unfortunately, Cal has only put together the most bare-bones of systems.
He's no stranger to solving near impossible problems; how difficult could it be to smooth out the slew of angry Mages with bitter rivalries, uncountable hidden secrets, a complete inability to cultivate, and a Dungeon creating messes at full speed? One way or another, it is up to Artorian to pick up the pieces. He’s ready to roll up his sleeves and administrate.
There are some very serious holes in this world, and the old academic is determined to fix them.

Engaging but felt a bit all over the place
I enjoyed this book but it didn’t really feel like there was any plot development for the characters. This kind of makes sense since they are all essentially stuck in limbo as far as the story is concerned but it felt like the book could have either been half as long or should have moved things forward more.
I loved the prior books in the series, this one isn’t quite as good.

awesome
Absolutely wonderful! The incredible world building keeps getting better and better and is as always remarkably well displayed. The writing/prose is beautifully well done, this writing team seems to be constantly improving and just when you think theyve peaked they release another well written story. Artorian is the grandfather you always wanted yet still so mischievous and clever as a fox. His antics are hilarious and his view on the world around him and how he solves his problems thought inspiring. The sprinkling of philosophy even more so. The characters really come alive as you read these stories and are well defined, their interactions seem organic and believable. This story will keep you interested and hungry for more so dig in! I cant wait to see what is next.
travis performs incredibly in this installment. his vocal range is incredible, the characters easily identified by their voice and tone. love this pairing of writers and narrator.

The bridge we needed.
First I will start by saying the last line made no sense to me as I thought all of Artorians loved ones were still in stasis and I thought he had come to love and mentor that group of bards. Other than that we got what we needed, we saw how etherium started and how the building blocks were made. It was entirely the right decision to introduce us to the creation of etherium through someone other than Cal or suppose now it's Cale. The story from Cales perspective would of been extraordinarily hard to write right with what we learned here and while I would love a bit more info on the early days maybe just a chapters worth per dungeon born I can see why we don't get it. Trust me if you love the divine dungeon series and the complitonist chronicles you need Artorians archive in its entirety.

A real disappointment.
I picked up this series a month ago. Just got to book 5 and I have to stop. The whole thing has completely devolved out of recognition. The first four books are great and really build the world and cultivation power system. I understand that isn't for everyone but loved it. Then all of a sudden the world ends? Like if I had blinked I would have missed how it happened. It totally blindsides the whole story.
Artorian has finally saved his kids, built places that are relatively safe for them to call home and seems to have a budding relationship with Dawn. Then oh by the way the moon seems to be broken we all need to hide! World's over, say goodbye to all the world building this far. It was jarring to say the least. Then they are building a new world in the soul space they hide in. Isn't this supposed to be a stop gap? Aren't they just hiding until the outside world is safe again? Doesn't really feel like it, looks like the next couple of books are all this.
Now all of a sudden instead of being a cultivation series it now LitRPG? F right off with this, the whole thing has derailed for the sake of some cross over bullcrap. So many loose ends and things I wanted to learn about and see in the world space are now gone with no reason to ever look back at or explore them. Why? This is just my opinion but stop just before the end of book four. Have nice day dreams about what the series could have been and don't disappoint yourself with what it actually becomes.
