His life story is great ...but
Paul has a great life story. I understand he is famous for his podcast and now is creating a business around getting sober. This book is part of that business endeavor. He is not a talented writer. He offers opinions on many topics far beyond his area of expertise. I really enjoyed the 'You know you have a drinking problem when....' sent in from his podcast listeners.

Great content - frustrating listen
This is an amazing book - full of great insight, info, experience and knowledge - however listening to the narration was frustrating and annoying. It sounds like Paul was in a rush to make an appointment or something when he rifled through the text. Slow down and deliver - I found myself having to shut it off as he just reads it like there’s a fire in the living room...
My two cents... hurray for the content - boo to the audio
I would highly recommend “reading” the book for anyone looking to understand their drinking or learning how to quit.

Modern and well rounded approach.
I really liked reading this. I did. Paul is down to earth and doesn't bullshit. I've been in AA for over a year and have wondered about its overall role in the addiction cancellation process. As well as other strategies such as meditation and positive thought reinforcement. The jokes at the begin of the chapters are a good touch as are the bonus features at the end. I truly believe that everyone should try the 12 steps and reads books like this. if you are dealing with addiction YOU especially should read this book. Great job Paul! Thank you!
