À propos de cet audio

Sometimes, life’s greatest lessons are found in failure…

With the circumvention of Aurora’s grim fate—and a heavy heart at what’d been required to avoid it—Rowan and his budding Party take their first steps toward realizing their goals; Aurora, a brilliant young woman, is determined to uncover the truths behind her father’s disappearance. Nathaniel, the stalwart companion, is shackled by his name and longs to be free. Rowan, a wily old geezer, is compelled by his circumstances to turn their unlikely coalition into a force that can survive the fated calamity.

Rowan once more dons the mantle of mentor as his growing Party looks to him for guidance. Lessons learned through tribulation are everlasting. Within the shadow of danger lurks opportunity. And oftentimes, the biggest threat is the one you don’t see coming...

I love the voices Jeff gives the characters, I feel Lucy needs to work on making her characters have more distinct voices. I understand its getting harder for jeff to do female voices, but trust you will find quality people to fill the toles.

As for the book, I love this story and all the little tid bits that keep being leaked here and there. Unfortunately, it feels cut short for my liking, i feel like we were building to a climatic point and just cut it off would a conclusion to this arc of the story, nothing absolutely nothing get resolved, it just weird.

Execited for the next book, hope it has a better ending.

Loving the Story

first book was double the length of this one, ends right after an event starts happening that the whole book was building up too.

still really like the series, but cutting the length down is a bad move.

too short

Great Protaganist, good concept, card machanics are interesting, This does feel like only half a book however, Hopefully sthe next volume will be back to the same length as the first book.

Just a bit too short

I’m really sad about how short this was, which is a great sign. Love this story! Can’t wait to see what cards and floors will come next.

Awesome!

I really enjoyed the first book, time travel is a tricky thing to do well but the series really gripped me.
so I am sorry to say that the second book was a big key down. you could tell that some of it has improved, characters, world lore and the like, but it's so easy to see that this was half a book released to early. Right where it ends is where you'd think it was supposed to really begin. Add on a good 40 minutes of buying but great detail over everyone's abilities I was wondering why this book released as it did. Did the author not know how he wanted things to go? Was the author pressured to release by a deadline and this is all they had? Was there another series they just wanted to do more? I don't know but while I enjoyed the first book, and much of the second, I don't know if I will continue if this is how it will be going forward.

Clearly missing half of the story.

It felt rushed as the party moved so quickly between floors, maybe this is why it felt so short. Though it is quite a bit shorter then the first it still falls in the average of the genre. The building of trust and relationships between the party was well written. However I would have liked to see more advancing of the cards themselves, but I guess that's going to be a big part of the 3rd book. Honestly can't wait and am a little sad I finished it so quick.

Love the concept, love the book

Beautiful performance. I had almost forgotten just how good this series was. Can't wait for the next one.

Absolutely amazing book

Felt like the first act of a larger story. Not a full book on its own. Story is still interesting but this felt more like a teaser. Ends right when it starts to get interesting. Also I'm not sure I agree with the idea to put all the builds into an hour and a half + slog.

Interesting

I dont know how to describe this but it seems like sometimes pieces of the story are almost skipped and other times it’s great . Overall, it just seems like you want more I for action on the world and characters to make them memorable .

Seems like some sections got shortened …

it's half a book. with a big fat chunk of pointless filler in the middle.
I was really looking forward to more of this series as the first book was a home run.
I just hope the auther will recover from shooting themselves in the foot.

I really do want to hear more of this story.

unfortunately dissapointing
