How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The initial break up just didn't really make sense or have much emotional impact. I understand why it happened, but there was no build up or investment in the characters yet, so it all just felt rushed and unbelievable.The rest of the book seemed drawn out and the drama at the end fell a little flat. I'm all for a HEA, but this one almost felt too contrived. It was still an enjoyable listen, but mainly because I enjoy the narrators so much.

Have you listened to any of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, Kai and Wen are 2 of my favorite narrators! This was another wonderful performance by them and made the book much more enjoyable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were definitely emotional times in this book, especially regarding Violet's past. I'm also from Southern California, so it was fun to hear all the references to locations in the book.

Any additional comments?

Although I didn't love this book, it was still a captivating listen that kept me entertained. I really enjoyed the characters, but found their initial break up difficult to believe. Since the entire book was based off of the aftermath of this break up, I just felt like something was missing. I'm still interested to find out more about the band though and will likely read/listen to more of the books in this series.

Love is sweeter the second time around.

Originally, Ethan was young and selfish for not wanting Violet to go and pursue her dreams even though she supported his. Fast forward to the present where a career opportunity arises that Violet financially can't refuse. Her only reservation?? Spending lots of time with her past.
This second chance romance is perfectly balanced. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts hot!! Wen and Kai have such great chemistry as well that when you pair them with a really good author, it takes the sexy parts to a whole new level. Mix in the humor, some drama and add a HEA ending, that's perfect combo for a credit well spent for me.

My Two Pennies

When you have a duo like Kai and Wen narrating you can’t go wrong. I can feel the connection and the passion poured into this story right through my earbuds. Wonderful performance.

Im you only happy when it rains...
This is a great rockstar meets second chance romance but it did take me a little time to get into the story. Violet is a very intelligent woman that is going for her Masters Degree in Mathematics at NYU, Ethan is the lead guitarist or the rock band Dangerous Noise. What grabbed me was learning about the past events in Violet’s life and how it had such an impact on her lifestyle today. I love being on tour with the band and at the same time we get the private story of Violet and Ethan with their are their friends with benefits sexy as all hell times together. The pace flows nicely and we get glimpses into the other band members that leave us wanting to know their stories too. I will definitely be looking into more books in this series. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Great Rock Story and great narration, as always!

Finished it in audio form in 2 days. The characters and story line kept me interested from the beginning. The narration of team Kennecot and Ross brought the characters to life. A great story and great narration brings the story to life - like seeing a play.

Great read

Dangerous Kiss by Crystal Kaswell was a good read. I loved reading Ethan and Violet's story. They were once everything to each other until he threw her away. Now they are back in each others lives and they try to be just friends. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Great Rock Star Romance

This was my introduction to Crystal Kaswell, and I'm glad I discovered her. I love rock star romances, and this was a great beginning to a rock star series. I love that Kaswell paired a math geek with a rock star. She set the characters up with great back stories. I liked the way she resolved the subplot of Asher's death (not a spoiler since you find out about his death right at the beginning of the book). This story pulled at my heart strings but still had the HEA I require. I can't wait to read the rest of the band members' stories.

Dangerous

Once again I am smitten by the Narrators. These two are in my top favorites for sure. They have a way of pulling you in with their voice, it feels as if they are really the characters in the book.

The story was a good one, it dives right in and doesn't take you on a million side journeys. It's sticks to the main story and for that I appreciate it. I can't wait to listen to the second one.

Wow what a great story! The chemistry between Ethan and Violet is electrifying. This is a lot of fun with the all the secondary characters in the band.

Dangerously Delicious

Ethan was a young up and coming Rock star who made a choice to be selfish and let the love of his life walk away when Violet got accepted to graduate school. Violet feels like Ethan threw her and their relationship away because he put his career first. Over the last 2 years Ethan has taken advantage of all the women throwing themselves at him and Violet has been a serious student who just couldn't move on with the one relationship she did have. Fate brought them together and Ethan took care of a drunk Violet who was grieving the anniversary of her brothers death. Violet finds herself accepting an 8 day position looking over the books for the band and they wind up starting a no strings short term relationship. Or is it?
This was a fun story and I can't wait for more in this series. It was steamy hot and I couldn't put it down.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are 2 of my favorite narrators. I even have a difficult time listening to other narrators.
