À propos de cet audio

Paksenarrion, once a sheepfarmer's daughter, now a veteran warrior, meets new challenges as she breaks up a robber gang, dispells an ancient evil possessing an elvish shrine, and is accepted for training at an academy for knights. Clearly, a high destiny awaits her.

Narrator did a great job but I found the story in the second book far weaker than the first.

Not as strong as the first book

Very well written, as are all the books in the entire series. I love them.

Amazing listen

Looking forward to the next instalment. This is a very good series. I recommend it to all fans of warrior type stories.

A great story with a sad ending

Fantastic story that was split into three parts creating an abhorrent ending in book 2.

When greed splits up a great story...

Paks finds herself moving on from her mercenary company to find something better. The story follows her to a city full of Paladins and on a quest to extinguish evil and find lost artefacts. #Audible1

The entire trilogy of the deed of Paksenarrion is a fantastic story, filled with interesting characters and gripping storylines. I just wish that the narrator gave the characters more dignity when she voiced them. She made characters like Macenion and the other elves so irritating it was hard to listen to scenes with them in it - they sound almost robotic instead of musical. So annoying. She gives the main character Paks a soft spoken, naive, childish voice that works at the beginning but doesn’t progress and become imbued with the assurance and confidence that accompanies the experience Paks accumulates. The narrator is also really bad at accents, which she attempts often. Ugh. This book would be perfection with better narration - it’s so well written, though, that it’s still worth struggling through the horrid accents and weird robot elf voices.

Fantastic story, narrator can be grating
