Thoroughly exceptional read. Madman throws lye in the face of medical staff, disfiguring the young ladies. Could not put it down, listening 16 hours straight!

Nail biting suspence, nonstop action

Gregg Hurwitz has a talent for dropping a normal, every-day type dude right into the shit.

Crazy circumstances that challenge regular people to do the extraordinary. The fight/chase/action sequences are hyper-detailed, and the characters are richly drawn and nuanced. You really feel like you get to know the people in his books, even if they only step in for a few pages (Ed was particularly entertaining in this novel). He's also very talented when it comes to snappy dialogue.

I loves me some Gregg, especially with Scott Brick narrating. Now, please excuse me.... I have to go select my next read from the shelves of Mr. Hurwitz!

Grabbed my attention within the first chapter. Love the narrator. When he is reading a suspenseful part, my watch tells me it is time to breathe. My only complaint is that I can’t stop listening…..

Good thrill ride of a book… but a tragically terrible ending. Went from a 5 star to almost a 3 based on the last 10 minutes. I could not imagine a less enjoyable/satisfying ending

Well Done!! I enjoyed this story! If I fell asleep while listening I would go back and relisted while awake again. The narration was done perfectly! I highly recommend this Author and Narrator.

It was decent story but arrogance of Dr Speer was too far fetched for me I just can’t see a doctor behaving like “I’m the only one who can fix this” attitude. Also made the police look like a bunch of incompetent idiots. One deranged sick man could evade and escape the police so often was a head shaker.

I am one of those people who cannot put a book down until it’s finished. Unfortunate in this case as it went on and on. One of the worst examples of narcissistic and self important behaviour on the part of David. Yuck yuck yuck

Boring and long

I tried hard to listen to this book. However, I found it painfully long-winded. I found myself wishing the story would just get a move-on and, when I suddenly realized I had another ten hours to listen, I actually gave up. I absolutely could listen to no more of it.

The story line was great but at 11 hours it was a long listen. Could have easily been a 8 hour book and still told the same story
