Duet by Julie Kriss is one of my favourite books this year, so much so I had to get the audiobook too.

What a fantastic audiobook this is! One of the best in my library. The narrators, especially Jason, nailed this. This book has fantastic characters, great chemistry and is just pure adultered spicy fun. Really loving this series & I am literally counting the days until the next ones.

Rockstar romance is my romance reading "crack"; and it's become a habit to buy audiobooks of my favorite romance ebooks. I finished Duet in one sitting; less than 2 weeks later I had to reread it to make sure it was as good as I thought it was after the first reading........it's even better. Then I discovered the audiobook while perusing new releases; so, of course it's time to revisit the story a third time. It's always a pleasure to listen to Andi voice independently minded women - here 35 year old Callie (piano teacher by day/club jazz pianist by night/ cat loving, strong willed spinster at all other times) who unknowingly mesmerizes a retired, 37 year old singer/song writer for a "Pearl Jam " inspired band - the Road Kings. We have two damaged souls who inspire each other artistically and emotionally to open up in new ways. The thing is that Julie Kriss has really upped her prodigious story-telling skills here; they've matured too to tell this tale of two emotionally mature people finding their way to love despite emotionally scarred pasts. The end is a Happy-For-Now that is deeply satisfying, but also makes you glad that you can see more coming in this new series. Worth mentioning is that Jason Clark does a wonderful job of giving differentiated voices to each male character in the band, and immitating Andi's interpretation of Callie. Andi was actually something of a revelation here; I'm a fan of hers but I'm always aware it's her reading the book. This time she disappears into the characters more - whether it's Callie, her much loved sister, her demanding mother or any of the male characters (all of whom have subtle nuances differences). It's somewhat embarrassing to admit, but I'm basically listening to this on a loop as I'm renovating a house.. I've lost count of how many times I've heard it now but it's not loosing its magic. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
