Description

I absolutely LOVE this story! Bought book two!
This is one of my favourite stories in a very long time! I LOVE the plot, I LOVE the characters, I LOVE LOVE the setting and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the relationship between Zar, Oshin, and Amanda. I've always thought two men together was hot and this story is no different!
One thing I find most authors struggle the most with, is conversation. Not only is the dialogue absolutely perfect in this book, the humor is so hilarious it often finds me pleasantly surprised by my own fit of laughter!
I had to remove one star because I wasn't the biggest fan of the narrator's female voice. It was ok, but it really wasn't particularly believable as a sound that would come from women's vocal chords. That said, thisnis literally the only negative I felt.
I related to my hubby as well about some parts of the story and he didn't see any believability within the science based explanations nor descriptions. This was nowhere near glaringly obvious enough for me to not only bother me, it was so well handled I hadn't even noticed! For someone who has a keener eye or deeper knowledge. If this kind of thing bothers you, tread carefully. Otherwise, get comfy and settle in for a great first novel to what I hope will become one of my absolute favourite stories of all time.

Engagingly different
I loved how different this story ended up being. It was a little confusing jumping from different viewpoints at first but once the characters came to feather in the storyline it made complete sense. I can’t wait to dig into the next one. The narrator did a great job putting emotion in all the characters voices.

Oh My !!!!
I will admit that when I started this story I was skeptical that I would like it but OH MAN. The romance is amazing. I am soo invested in these characters and worlds...I need more. The author is very good. detailing everything just enough to allow you to visualize every minute yet not too much that it gets blah.
I recommend this to anyone wanting a fresh fantasy book to read. nice change from the usual high fae I have been reading. loved every minute of it.
The person narrating is soooo good as well. he needs to be given more to read. lol

I wanted to like it but...
Honestly, I really wanted to like it but it was just so very boring! I love Sci-fi romance, especially when the aliens are actually very different from humans, but this was such a disappointment. Bleh. I'm glad it was in the Plus Catalogue and that I didn't waste a credit on this junk. The female protagonist had so little agency, just passively going along with the events around her.

If I could give it a lower
Rating I would. Oh my god if you are going to write alien porn at least make it somewhat worth reading. So stupidly unbelievable I only listened for about an hour and only left it playing because I was cleaning the bathroom with gloves and didn’t want to touch my phone lol
