À propos de cet audio
A gunslinger with four affinities is a myth.
It's the kind of story whispered in frontier saloons one drink before closing and around campfires in the dead of night. For the heroes and villains in those tales, that impossible power is a boon, a gift.
For Mr. Jones, it's a curse.
Of course, that's not his real name. He's had many.
Changing names is necessary when you possess a power that every lawman and outlaw would kill to obtain. To survive, you keep your head down, kill when you must, and never stay in one place too long. It's a life governed by rules and hard lessons, drilled into him from a young age after his parents were murdered because of his gift.
Since then, the trail of bodies has only grown longer.
But all that is about to change. After years of chasing two-bit bounties, honing his skills, and growing his core, he's finally caught the scent of the man he's been searching for the first of four bodies that will end this carnage once and for all.
Now, it's time to put his cursed powers to use.
It's time for revenge.

A Secret Service operative and dedicated survivalist, Special Agent Del Roosevelt had a plan for every world-ending scenario and regularly trained for them all. Useless for the apocalypse that actually played out. Del wakes up half-buried in a giant trash pile, missing his thumbs. And, um, covered in red fur. Ruby Young's new Boston apartment comes with all the usual perks. Windows facing the brick wall of the next-door building. Heat that barely works. A malfunctioning buzzer. Noisy neighbors. A dead body on the sidewalk outside. And of course, a ghost. Since Cordelia Graves died in her apartment a few months ago, she's kept up her residency, despite being bored out of her (non-tangible) skull and frustrated by her new roommate. When her across-the-hall neighbor, Jake Macintyre, is shot and killed in an apparent mugging gone wrong outside their building, Cordelia is convinced there’s more to it.

Dorothy Graham is dead, which is inconvenient, not least for her. Luckily, she has planned for this eventuality. Now, if any of the truly dreadful people she is related to want to get their hands on her money, they’re going to have to do so via a fiendish difficult and frankly bizarre competition of Dorothy’s devising. After all, just because you’re dead, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a last laugh at the expense of people who made your life miserable.

I liked it overall
Good story, likeable characters, and interesting enough that I'll likely get the next one. A bit too much detail on weapons, bullets and lots of manna, although they seem to be a main theme of the story, so I guess that's good info.. not my usual style, but I like a good western. Great narration.

Absence of skill
The pros:
-The concept is intriguing; an imaginative, albeit somewhat derivative, world is created that could be the setting for some wonderful works.
-The cast is varied; this allows for an array of accents, dialects, and characters to be used or born.
-The recording is clean, and of high quality.
The cons:
-The writing is very poor. The book reads as if it’s been written in a few sittings with zero editing or re-reading done. The author appears of capable of conjuring up a small handful of phrases for imagery that are over used to the point of predictability.
-The plot, or sequence of events, is adroitly linear. We go from point A, wherein we discuss point B, then we go to point B, wherein we discuss point C, then we go to point C. This occurs over and over.
-The protagonist narrates the same thing repeatedly, constantly reminding us that he is tough, incredibly rare, and trained by Randall. It is exhausting to try and get through a passage that describes in minute detail the same concepts and ideas that were just described a few chapters or pages previously.
-The main narrator requires a director, at least. He reads the internal monologues like a seven year old telling you about his time at the park. “I went down the slide, and nobody could. Slide. Like. Me.”
This work has so much potential, as does this author, but this work is hard to get through. As for the narrator, again, he can hold an (annoying) accent for 13 hours of reading, but has room for improvement in the flow of delivery.
I don’t recommend paying for this unless it’s on sale.

Terrible story, forced myself to finish
Amateurish and awful writing. Same lines over and over built around a lazy story line. Above all, most of the writing seemed to be trying to hype up the next installment which I will definitely be avoiding.
