Taylor Harvey did a great job of narrating this book but this was not dual or duet narration. Teddy Hamilton had only 2 scenes, narrating only a minor character. Otherwise, Taylor did the rest. I’ve never heard that before.
Otherwise, the book was amazing. Interesting characters, great twists, and good pacing. Loved it!

This book is like if you take Supernatural meets the shadow hunters and you make Dean Winchester female. I really enjoyed it, a fun read. The pop-culture references always throw me off in fantasy books. I saw some of the twists coming but I wouldn’t say it was overly predictable. The main character Viv is very one-track minded and frustrating at times but I can really appreciate main characters not being perfect, it keeps things interesting. However, I did find Viv very juvenile and annoying in that way. Reid is a really interesting character. I’m hoping we’ll get his POV in the next story.

Big question tho, might be a spoiler….


I listened to the audio and I’m curious to WHY they had Teddy Hamilton only narrate Deacon’s parts (which was a very SMALL amount of the book) and not Reid’s chapters… is this a hint for what’s to come?
