À propos de cet audio

The war has begun. Both sides demand Diem's allegiance—or her death.

After her disastrous coronation, Diem finds herself at the center of the conflict between the Descended and the Guardians. With her newfound friends and the man she's falling for on one side, and the mortals she has vowed to protect on the other, Diem must walk a careful line to save the people she loves…even from each other.

The mystery of her unusual heritage begins to unravel, sending Diem and Luther on an unexpected journey across the realms. The answers may hold the key to winning the war, but finding them will require her to face painful truths about her mother, her bloodline, and her fate.

Meanwhile, the Crowns have set Diem in their sights. Some could be her greatest allies—while others want her dead. To end their oppressive reign, Diem must sort friend from foe and risk it all to build an army of her own.

But a powerful figure in the north has plans that could change everything...

Heat of the Everflame is the third book in The Kindred's Curse Saga, a four-book epic fantasy romance series that follows our feisty, bad*ss heroine Diem Bellator in her fight against injustice, her struggle to survive in a royal palace full of betrayal and intrigue, and her journey of self-discovery and finding true love.

This slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers series is perfect for fans of unique magic systems, dragons and other mythical creatures, angst and romantic tension, and hilarious banter. This series will appeal to fans of plot-heavy, character-driven romantasy such as A Court of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, Blood and Ash, The Plated Prisoner, Grisha, and Crowns of Nyaxia.

this book takes you by the throat and doesn't let go from the 1st word to the last.
I think this has to be one of the MOST STRESSFUL AND BEST books I have read in a LONG time and it's torture the last book doesn't have a release date.

Aahhhhhhh!

First of all... What on earth was with that weird, sudden clip with the other English actor putative Luther all of the sudden? IT WAS SO CREEPY.

Writing at the level of SJM isn't easy, she's masterful at her craft, however this will come close and if you think of it as an homage you might come to reality care about this storyline and it's characters as I have. For me, this is where a better editor would have really shined through to help bring things together.

Does the plot have some huge, gaping plot holes? Oh yes. You'll be screaming out loud as you listen frustratedly, so much that you'll begin to wonder if this obviously kink obsessed author isn't trying to get you into the mood by edging you along too. Although our heroine is often disappointing, she is interesting and an obvious submissive bear.

A few things really bothered me about this book, there's an interaction with a teen that gave me the ick, chaste but inappropriate interaction regardless. I also am extremely disheartened at the way the main character encourages Luther's controlling territorialness and revels in it, she's the most powerful women in the continent.... Let's see her backbone and his respect.

It's like really good Sarah J Maas fanfiction

Audio performance is great. The story and main character are where my issues lie. Throughout all three books, I just find myself increasingly underwhelmed and frustrated with the main character. Her own character flaws and unrealistic idealism are the checks and balances to her own power but in a repeatedly predictable way that is just way overused. She is never forward thinking enough to ensure her own carelessly laid out plans and repeatedly falls into circumstances that are, again, predictable, and require her to be rescued or get lucky. I keep waiting for her to come in to her own and gain some control but when she does it’s usually reckless and short lived. Even the ending is the same kind of thing. And letting Vance live after trying to kill toddlers? So stupid and infuriating. She deserved the fallout from that.
The supporting characters are enjoyable and the world is interesting to learn about. I will likely get the fourth book when it is available on audible but without some sort of major character growth in Diem, this series would be low on my list to recommend.

Frustrating and drawn out

The FMC is really annoying in this book because she spends half of it in denial. I found it really annoying because the reader is aware of something for half the book and she can’t clue in to. Other than that it was a great continuation and I can’t wait for the last book!

Really good!

Another crazy cliffhanger of an ending! You're killing me! This book was full of facts, fighting, and too much forgiveness, like just unalive Vance already! Lol! Finally got some spice in here, after all that romantic tension. Loved this book for sure, and I'll just be impatiently waiting on book #4.

eek!
