Fantastic!
I was pleasantly surprised by this book, not expecting a third book in the series. Thanks, Mary. Lots of action, and emotion. Yes, all the feels! Although Joel did the first two books, Sean does a marvelous job of bringing this one to life.

First 5 chapters of info dumping
I almost returned this book because the first five chapters were all info dumping and no plot or action. Calmes is a good author once the plot starts, but it was a torturously long time to get there. It feels like every fantasy she writes now gets worse with the info dumps. Her contemporary books aren’t as bad about that.
