love the concept. This trilogy is a great blend of dark, and daydream. I wish all books had the same narration but this gave me knew respect for Brandon Fraser. I find him amusing but this was art. Cornelia Funke is great.

Truly wonderful series. Lynn Redgrave was perfect for reading... I wish she was able to do all three. I love Brendan Fraser, but someone should have told him he can't read well. It's awful. There's no choice if you want to listen to the full series but the constant superfluous accompanying sound effects are really annoying. We all know what a fairy sounds like. During the read a fairy starts chattering angrily... and Brendan actually makes an angry chattering sound. Good lord.

As often with a good book, I don't want this one to end, but I'll be glad it when it does so I won't have to listen to badly done voices and sound effects.

Brendan Fraser is an excellent audiobook reader, and I wish he had lots more books I could listen to. He is dynamic and engaging, and does voices. 10/10, would recommend.

Such a great book, but I would have preferred someone else besides Brenden Fraiser reading. I enjoyed the woman who read the first book so much more.

This book has middle book syndrome: it tears apart the nice ending that Inkheart left with and leaves you hanging so you have to delve into the third book or be left on a cliffhanger. For the length of this book, not enough happens to satisfy me and I found myself getting bored. The only thing that held my attention was the amazing performance given by Brendan Fraser. I wish he narrated more books, because he does an amazing job at it.
