À propos de cet audio

The long-awaited autobiography of Keith Richards, guitarist, songwriter, singer, and founding member of the Rolling Stones.

With The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards created the songs that roused the world, and he lived the original rock and roll life.

Now, at last, the man himself tells his story of life in the crossfire hurricane. Listening obsessively to Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters records, learning guitar and forming a band with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones. The Rolling Stones's first fame and the notorious drug busts that led to his enduring image as an outlaw folk hero. Creating immortal riffs like the ones in "Jumping Jack Flash" and "Honky Tonk Women." His relationship with Anita Pallenberg and the death of Brian Jones. Tax exile in France, wildfire tours of the U.S., isolation and addiction. Falling in love with Patti Hansen. Estrangement from Jagger and subsequent reconciliation. Marriage, family, solo albums and Xpensive Winos, and the road that goes on forever.

With his trademark disarming honesty, Keith Richard brings us the story of a life we have all longed to know more of, unfettered, fearless, and true.

Loved it all. Issue is that Depp’s voice and narration is uneven and randomly an imitation. In chapter 5, it seemed as if he was no longer Depp. I mean, I get the adoration Depp has…but try to keep an even tone and accent throughout or it seems as if multiple people are reading.

Keith’s great love of music and his incredible experiences.

A little long on the substance use but I guess that was a big part of Keith's life. The book nicely captures the beginnings of the Stones in the 60's until about 2008. It would be nice to hear what has happened since. I saw the Stones in 2005 at SBC park in San Francisco, part of the stage separated and ran down hydraulically on a ramp right beside my seat. I was standing up on the seat and Keith was right beside me with his trademark cigarette hanging out of his mouth, almost burnt to the filter, ash intact. I yelled, hey Keith, you were great as he had just done a few solo tunes. He looked down at me and said, "thanks man!" Kind of a silly story but I felt like I was in the presence of someone very special!

An intimate look at Keith Richards

You don't have to be a die-hard rolling Stones fan to love this book. I always find it interesting how Keith Richards is even alive if you read this book or listen to this book you will completely understand how he is still alive. It's a pretty amazing start from his childhood right up till now

awesome
