Description
Mallory Vaughn is at a crossroads in her life. A year after learning that Big Mac McCarthy is her father, she's spending more and more time on Gansett Island, surrounded by the large and boisterous McCarthy family. When she's laid off from her longtime job, Mallory goes to visit her family on Gansett and tries to figure out the next chapter. An unexpected job offer will have her packing up her home in Providence to move to the island for at least the summer, if not longer. She decides to make this the "Summer of Mallory", full of new adventures, new people, and new opportunities. Will a new love also be part of the Summer of Mallory? Anything is possible on Gansett Island, especially true love.
Take the ferry back to Gansett to catch up with the McCarthy family and their friends. Be on hand as Laura and Owen welcome their twins and the family comes back together for another summer of love and adventure on Gansett Island.

not great on audible
the book was good other than a few wrong names. the reading was not researched at all. voice changes and different accents all over the place. the same character was male female English Irish and everything in between.

Amazing Story Never to late
Quinn lost and hurt not knowing where to turn but knew it wasn't where it had once been.

LIGHT AFTER DARK
Would you consider the audio edition of Light After Dark to be better than the print version?
Yes it was awesome
Who was your favorite character and why?
MALLORY was my favorite character because I could relate to her with the losses she faced and her look at the future.
Which scene was your favorite?
When she read the letter to her mother to Mac and Linda
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh heck yes. The Gansett series are all like that for me

I love this book for all the characters that Marie brought back to catch up with. It has to be one of my favorites for this series

Absolutely loved this book
Mallory's story? Amazing!!! I don't know how all these stories and characters live in your head but damn girl I am so glad that they do!!

Wonderful story, horrible editing.
I love this Author and this series but, this edition was awful. There are many mistakes and numerous repeated words and phrases. I don't know what the editing process is but, it needs to be redone. I don't mind the narrator but the narration needs work.

Narrator spoiled the book
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
The hard copy, yes. The audible, no.
Would you be willing to try another one of Joan Delaware’s performances?
No, and will probably not buy another of the Gansett series if she narrates again.
Any additional comments?
Please go back to the original narrator or get a new one. The male characters are terrible. She even gave Ned an accent that sounded...Irish?
