Another great Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan book. Once you get to the 3/4 mark of the book you wont want to stop until your finished....

Great story very suspenseful and entertaining kept you guessing along the way. I will definitely read more from this author.

I've read all the Clancy books and my fave. is Red Storm Rising for reference. Normally Clancy books hold my attention but this one didn't have the same feel and I strayed quite a few times and noticed myself hitting 'rewind' quite a few times. How much did Greaney write? Lou Diamond Phillips is a great narrator, has a great voice and tone whereas some of the older Clancy narrators were brutal to the point that I didn't bother listening to them. I know someone wrote about how Phillips sounded like he had a cold because of the sound he takes with each breath but it didn't bother me at all. I wish he performed more.

I wonder what happened to Tom Clancy to get him to put his name on this book. A Willie Nelson-style tax bill? This is nothing like Clancy's previous work. Unrecognizable.

Lou Diamond Phillips sounds like he had a cold. Each time he takes a breath it sounds like a gasp. Good reader, but very annoying.

A fun book if you are looking for a paperbook action story, but not if you want a Clancy story. 2 stars out of 10.
