As usual, Michael Leslie has delivered an epic masterpiece of voice work to tag along with Lily Maynes brilliance. I absolutely adored the voices af all these characters, new and old. This story has some darker themes compared to previous installments in this series but ML and LM have captured all the feels with such talent. This is my comfort series and I can tell you now that I'll be starting my full reread/relisten soon!

This version was not as light as it focused more on the political aspects of government and kingdom in a beginning of a war with a heavy focus on loss and grief.
The unbelievable characters go from prequel to current world bringing the series together.
Each book gives you a beautifully different love story with aspects of found family and hope in a time of uncertainty.
Michael Leslie cannot be any more amazing in his narrative that brings each person to life! Beautiful done!

The not as enticing as some of her other stories, the world building and this one was fantastic. Being able to interact with the romance from both perspectives Made for a very well-rounded story. This one was a bit heavier than her previous novels mainly because there’s much to do with grief. I have to say, though I truly enjoyed the fantasy politics and the massive world building. It was truly wonderful to get a story told mostly from the monsters perspective and the monsters world itself. Once again, a top-notch story all around. And a great applause to the narrators impeccable, talent, and delivery. I always find myself wanting more at the end of each of these novels.

I'm reeling with excitement & impatience for the next addition to this series, it is phenomenal.

Lor was another utterly amazing book, it has all the feels, like full on ugly crying to bursting out laughing. I almost spat coffee once lol. Lor is so precious & sweet. Jugs rocks hardcore lol.

this addition gets nail biting political but it's great. love it, the world building is top tier.
