One of the more brutal, vivid, and enticing Star Wars stories with just the right amount of fan service but for a book called lords of the sith - I would have liked it to have been a more general focus on that topic, such as delving deeper into Vader's suit design; from a historical perspective, and having him be out of the suit more to study the ways of the sith. Overall; I am always a fan of Ryloth, Cham, and Twileks, and this is so far the best non-comic medium to explore the rivalry and tension between palpatine and vader. My only nitpick is the lack of accurate sound fx for vader's breathing and his lightsaber throw but the breathing succeeded in sounding sinister, and clausterphobic - as if we were inside vader's helmet. Palpatine using a saber isn't something I really enjoy since his distain with sabers due to their connection to the jedi and the old ways has always set him apart from other sith but for the sake of fan service, it was fun. Overall, this is worth a listen.

vader literally jumps into space while he kamikazes his tie into an enemy ship. then boards them through the hole. what else could you want?
