À propos de cet audio

Adult ADHD can affect men in different ways. Men may experience it in various ways, and its symptoms can be more challenging to detect. Men with ADHD are often overlooked, leaving many who are struggling with their abilities to feel isolated or confused about what they're experiencing. While the underlying mechanisms of ADHD are still being studied, it is thought that the male brain may process information differently than the female brain, which could account for some of these differences.

  • The symptoms and indications that will assist you in determining whether or not you have ADHD
  • The three factors that influence ADHD's development
  • The common misconceptions about ADHD
  • The five habits that can help you manage ADHD
  • The three-step framework to develop several habits when dealing with ADHD

  • Find out what's been going on in your head all these years
  • Achieve personal goals without feeling like you're struggling against yourself

Good information within the book, but took a long time to finish.

Hard to follow sometimes, and found myself distracted doing other things, while trying to listen.

Was alright.

Why is a book about ADHD read in such an odd manor? Like listening to Shatner's Captain Kirk. the reader's already have a hard time focusing, and then unnecessary pauses or inflections make you focus on that one word. next thing you know you're going back 2 minutes because you zoned out thinking about how weird that was.

if you can somehow get past that, there's some decent insight. I played it at 1.25x speed, otherwise it's WAY too slow.

Bad choice for Voice Over

A few insightful tidbits but mostly empty fluff. The narrator, however, delivered the text with an eargougingly irritating cadence. He made IT hard to connect WITH the content when all THE wrong words were inflected, and many words mispronounced.

Irritating Narration

As a 50 year old who's known for half my life that I DO have it, I've concluded this book _might_ have some gems in it about how to deal with it. The issue I have is that it takes so much time to tell me about why I might have it, that I get frustrated with hearing what I already know and ultimately skip to the next chapter... again and again.

In short, and pardon the bluntness: I regret mistaking this for a book offering self-help for the adhd afflicted, because it was utterly useless to me. Again: "... to me."

Pretty good for answering "Do I have it?"

some good advice but repeats the title so many times it's imposing the label ADHD

too much emphasis on the title through the book

This is intellectually insulting and long winded.. It’s great for falling asleep to though 😆 There’s far better material out there and ironically I find the audible to be fairly out of focus going off on tangent. The author uses cheesy examples acted out which in some contexts make sense while others the listener is going to feel like the author is being unintentionally condescending. It’s literally painful to listen to after a while.

Incredibly Cheesy

The person reading this book did not prepare for reading it. You could hear constantly that the narrator thought that one phrase was ending bit it actually continued. Contents themselves are very well researched.

Very hard to listen to. Full of narrator's mistake

Why is it read like a dramatic play, it's hard to listen to when some words are given emphasis as if something is shocking or the cadence is irregular

Didn't enjoy the reading style

This, like most, is another book for ADHD that is difficult to follow. As an individual with ADHD I found this clinical to a fault. I would not recommend

Do you know your audience

It definitely gave me a lot of insight on what adhd is and the signs, there was a lot of stories I could relate too, but honestly everything in this book is common knowledge, I didn’t find it too helpful

Its alright
