I'm coming back form book 11 to write this review. this is one of my favorite series of all time. if you are looking for a grand fantasy adventure with twists and turns up's and Downs triumphs and defeats love and loss this is the perfect series for you. Elaine is such a compelling Mc who against both a society and world that seem to be built to hold her down rises above it all to become the pinnacle of humanity and beyond (;.


does it have its flaws? yes very much so. for an example without any spoilers the Iona interlude chapters in later books could have been spaced out instead of in a big chunk at the end (BTW though the Iona chapters seem unesesery at first they are VERY important and give clues about future books as well as giving context to Iona as a character). but despite it's flaws it is just so damn entertaining the I find it hard to care about them.

If you're looking for fantasy/litrpg/ability building, I recommend this one.

Story:
Since the theme of this book is reincarnation, you would expect a somewhat mature MC due to her previous life, but to my annoyance, she was behaving like her physical age (14) and I really can't stand juvenile children as first-person PoV protagonists despite the book providing a reason for it. Otherwise, the world-building and side characters are mostly fine.

Performance:
General narration is fine, but the actress doesn't have a lot of range for clear differentiation of different characters, especially the males (they don't sounds horrible though)
