À propos de cet audio

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Iron Druid Chronicles comes book two of an “action-packed, enchantingly fun” (Booklist) spin-off series, as an eccentric master of rare magic solves a supernatural mystery Down Under!

There’s only one Al MacBharrais: Though other Scotsmen may have dramatic mustaches and a taste for fancy cocktails, Al also has a unique talent. He’s a master of ink and sigil magic. In his gifted hands, paper and pen can work wondrous spells.

But Al isn’t quite alone: He is part of a global network of sigil agents who use their powers to protect the world from mischievous gods and strange monsters. So when a fellow agent disappears under sinister circumstances in Australia, Al leaves behind the cozy pubs and cafes of Glasgow and travels to the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria to solve the mystery.

The trail to his colleague begins to pile up with bodies at alarming speed, so Al is grateful his friends have come to help—especially Nadia, his accountant who moonlights as a pit fighter. Together with a whisky-loving hobgoblin known as Buck Foi and the ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan, along with his dogs, Oberon and Starbuck, Al and Nadia will face down the wildest wonders Australia—and the supernatural world—can throw at them, and confront a legendary monster not seen in centuries.

Fantastic story and the best narration I’ve listened to so far!!! The accents are perfect for story telling. Well done!!!

I enjoy Kevin Hearn's storytelling and the narration by Luke Daniels is mostly good but he should stay away from accents. As a Canadian, I'm not entirely certain where Gladys-Who-Has-Seen-Some-Shite is supposed to be from. I'm guessing Minnesota.

I'm roughly familiar with Australian accents and those come across as pretty strange to me as well. Perhaps an Australian person can respond with if that accent is performed as oddly as I think it is as well.

Unpopular opinion - I don't like the voice for Oberon, as it makes him sound like a cartoon character. I read the Iron Druid books and Oberon did not sound like scooby doo in my head. :D

Enjoyable as always

I love the Iron Druid series. As a Canadian though, Gladys's accent threw me off. She has a muddled Ontario accent. A Nova Scotian accent is more Scottish/ British base.

All the elements I loved from the Iron Druid Chronicles, including some welcome cameos from our old pals!

This series improves with every chapter!

Amazing again the story from Kevin and the voice acting of Luke. I can’t wait to see and hear what comes next from them both!!

Like many movie sequels the anticipation of this book far outweighed the gratification. I love the Iron Druid Chronicles and was thrilled when Kevin published Ink and Sigil as a continuation of the story. It was a little rougher in speech and theme but still a lot of fun. I don’t know what happen to middle of this book, I was beginning to think it should have been an anthology of short stories. I understand the stories were told to help the listener and the characters relate to the underlying situation but they got carried away and I began to forget what the story was about. When things got back on track I got wrapped up in the action and resumed my interest in the story. Also I was disappointed that Atticus/Connor didn’t get a larger roll but understand that this wasn’t a story about him.

Disappointing sequel
