I loved the unique story of the MC seeking a new life in a distant land among strangers who grow to love him and he them. Seeing him gain a new hope for a fulfilling life by serving his new friends and community is inspiring and exciting. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds in the following books in this series.

has cultivation elements, but that I'm itself is off to the side and does not feature heavily in the book.
