I got through the whole book but it would have been much better with a male narrator for Max.

They needed a male to narrate Max. Just wasn’t feeling it having the woman do an impression of him. Couldn’t get through it as wasn’t believable to me

1) why do authors write female protagonist 50/50 no back bones and with low or none existent confidence.
2) I’m half way through this book and 👌🏾 close to DNR this book
3) performance is saving this book tho 🙏🏾

Story could of been more captivating with a male narrator for Max. I enjoy dual narrators. Where’s Sebastian York when you need him.

The dual authors doesn’t bother me as the pov was only Rory’s. the dirty talk was hot in a not too cheesy kinda way. Out of all the hockey books I’ve read so far this one has had more drama and trauma than them and I like the way the author tells the story. Yes I’m dying to read/hear maxs side of things but I also enjoy having the limited view of the Main Character.

I’ve read and listened to a lot of sports romances but this one really stood out for me. It had some great twists and reveals … plus Max was a delicious dirty-talking sweetheart. I couldn’t stop listening! Off to check out Odette Stone’s backlist!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the story and depth of the characters. I actually grew to care about the characters — they seemed like real people. Sex scenes were tastefully done.

I just finished Puck Me Secretly by Odette Stone, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The author delivers an engaging blend of romance and sports, and the chemistry between the two main characters is undeniable. The story kept me engaged from start to finish, and I found myself smiling and blushing at times.

The story itself is well-paced, offering a nice balance of tension, passion, and humor. While the narration was decent, I personally would have preferred a duet narrative where the male characters are voiced by a male narrator and the female characters by a female narrator. It’s a style I enjoy more for audiobooks, as it brings an extra layer of immersion to the listening experience.

Overall, I’ll definitely be reading more of Odette Stone’s work. If you're a fan of sports romances with great character development, this one is worth picking up!

Not a fan of the narration, but I'm not convinced the narrator's fault. I feel the producer should be accountable too.
