The synopsis looked promising, and so even though I'm hesitant about any mystery/thriller that deals with religion (when it's good it's good, but when it's bad it is horrible and embarrassing!), I thought I'd give it a try. It actually wasn't bad. I find that when a story has an atheism vs theism (usually generic Christianity) theme, it is never well written, just heavy handed and cringey. But yeah, this was only medium-handed!
The mystery itself was engaging and neatly put together. Lots of threads that were successfully tied up in the end.
The writing was good. The characters were, for the most part, three-dimensional, although "Chris" was pretty cartoonish.
Overall, an engaging listen.
