Description

The adventures of the Shaman continue!

Daniel Mahan, the legendary Shaman of the Barliona game world, has served his sentence in virtual reality. Eleven months of adventures and battles in exchange for eight years in prison isn't a bad trade-off. And yet Barliona refuses to relinquish its grip on the Shaman so easily, erasing the boundary between his two realities. It turns out that it's not so simple to leave the capsule - the Way must be completed....

Rushed

The book reaches its climax and ends within 20 minutes. The ending felt shoehorned in. Seriously bothered me even though it was technically a happy ending. It just felt incomplete. Bad end to a great series.

Totally Redeemed!

The end of the last book left me disgusted by betrayal. It evoked enough emotion in me to make me pissed off at the characters as if I was the one betrayed. This book totally redeems the series by giving it a proper ending! Way to go Vasily Mahanenko! I have also enjoyed the narration by Jonathan Yen which has been top notch. Thanks for a great series.

Holy Moly...

The loops thrown in this book, This Series Even, are knotted together so tightly that it made my brain tie in tighter knots.

This book contains so many contradictions and paradoxes that my mind needs a break before continuing to the next book.

Regardless of the dilemma's faced, I love this book. I did not expect and I will wager anything that no reader will expect what happens in this book without considerable outside knowledge.

I am satisfied with the ending. I have certain emotions I need to recover from but I am still pleased with the outcome of the story thus far.

TL;DR: This book is crazy but worth its weight in gold. You cannot miss this book! Buy it now, you will not regret it.

wait... what?

What happened to all of those other characters and plotlines!? It's like the author took a knife to the story after getting bored with it.

Good but not enough.

After the way book 5 ended the author had a big task to bring the story back to something great. Just as it looked like I was hooked again it ended abruptly. He resolved the plot, but l felt that we needed a lot more about what happened afterwards. So many unanswered questions....

Honestly I should have stopped reading

I should have never made it to this book. I love the first book so much! The second book was good too, some where around the third book it started to decline. Since then it is worse and worse. Let me explain why. The story and world build are great. The authors creativity is fantastic and I love his plot direction for all the books. What turns my stomach and made it to where I had to stop reading is the MC. The issue is not just with the book but going back to the third book. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I literally can’t stand him. He is does everything backwards. He is a whiny schizophrenic odd ball. He seems to be at the center of everyone’s hate and jokes. I feel like I could write a thesis on everything wrong with the MC.

I think the author has loads of talent. I hate having to leave bad reviews, but when I can’t even finish the book on triple speed that is saying something.

Good, but abrupt ending to the series, I presume.

Just like the others if you liked them. The ending cleaned up almost all the loose ends but too quickly. For such a long series, I wanted more. Maybe there's still a sequel on the horizon.

Too Many Moving Parts

I am an avid reader of LitRPGs. Since discovering them a few months ago I’ve devoured one almost everyday. Each has their strengths and flaws. However, after six books this particular series leaves me asking if the author had any clue that the convoluted web he was weaving could possibly happen or be believable. I personally had a problem with the past few novels because it seemed like the author “nerfed” his own story (destroying it near completely). It makes me wonder if boredom overtook him and he decided to try his hand at a quasi-spy novel. The intrigue in this book could not have been possible because of the massive amount of moving parts and variables even considering the closely monitored environment of VR.

With all that being said, I am willing to see if the author can pull his own story out of this quagmire or if he himself has gone to “black”.

I love the story, but...

I love the story, but I hate how so many things get left unsaid. overall it's worth finishing after the previous cliff hangar.
