Smoke and Scar is one of my favourite books of all time, so I was so very excited to get it on audio! I think both narrators did an amazing job of bringing all of the characters to life. I personally wish the MMCs voice was just a touch deeper as that is what I heard in my head while reading, but that takes nothing away from his performance, it was exceptionally done. I also wish it had been a full duet, not a hybrid, but again, that is just a personal preference.

I absolutely fell in love with Elyria and Cedric all over again, the emotional damage at the end was just as devastating as when I first read it. Well done!

This isn’t duet as it says it is a dual narration. When it’s her chapter she does the males etc.

Beautiful narration, delicious no spice in this book slow burn between enemies to reluctant allies to lovers? I can’t wait for book 2!

I hate to say it but the male narrator’s voice really got on my nerves and totally distracted me, making it hard to stay present in the story to the point I couldn’t finish it. It was just too nasally. I wish I would have known this beforehand or I wouldn’t have bought the audiobook 1 and 2 for this series and would have just read the physical books. Such a shame because the story itself had so much potential. Hopefully this review can save someone else from wasting their money. (Also this is not a duet style like it said which was disappointing.)
