Description

Sandra managed to survive the first major incursion from the nearby Orcs, thanks in part to the help a certain half-orc/half-dwarf provided. However, Kelerim left her dungeon to seek out his father, leaving her all alone with just Winxa - her dungeon fairy - as company.

With the loss of her new friend comes some opportunities, at least; she now has the freedom to craft whatever she wants, and the threat of her dungeon core’s destruction from outside forces is practically absent. She even has the opportunity to upgrade her core size, unlocking additional constructs for use as dungeon monsters, as well as a new core-specific skill.

Unfortunately for Sandra, a particular action outside of the dungeon has unintentionally drawn attention to her activities, and there’s now a very serious threat to her survival. Racing against the clock, the crafting-based dungeon needs to find a way to prevent her destruction, all the while dealing with the problems her expanding area of influence has created.

Because it’s not only the nearby races that she has to deal with - but the nearby dungeons, as well.

This dungeon core story contains litRPG/gamelit elements such as statistics and leveling and a heavy crafting emphasis. No profanity and no harems.

Needs more editing

The author has rather redundant word usage, often using similar words right next to each other. The lists in the book easily take over a minute to read, and several are repeated far too often for my taste. The use of acronyms did more to confuse me then anything else. Finally the narrator has a habit of cutting off the end of some words, making it hard to understand her occasionally.

great story, annoying narrator

the crafting aspect is fun, except for the incredibly long lists of repetitive crafting options. Why do we need an entire chapter of blah.. needs, blah, cost, unknown. Blah... needs, blah, cost unknown... ad nauseum. I would much rather have actual crafting instead, but that seems to no longer be as important as the nonstop lists of boring numbers.
Between that and the UNBELIEVABLY ANNOYING VOICE of the whiney, off tempo, weirdly emphasized narration has pretty much killed the appeal of this series as an audio book. I will definitely look for it in print, but won't buy another audio book in this series. Another narrator I will firmly avoid in the future, no matter how much I like the book.

A great story told with a soothing voice

A good continuation in the saga with tension and crisis that makes you wounder what will happen next. Can't whait for book three.

The story:
It starts right away from the first book (so listen to it first). We follow allong with Sandra as she is faced with both successes and failures meanwhile the threath of anniliation hangs over her.

About the narriator:
Louise voice is as soothing as usual and the characters traits is easely recognisable, her voice register is not to broad in this whitc makes the only change in my ears beteeen female and male characters. This does actualy fitt this story in my oppinion and destinct voices would drown the story.

Result: A great story told in a good way that does make it easy to listen while doing other things.

Excellent book

This was a great book and I enjoyed the narration. It's a slow burn and focused around crafting, but the story did advance. It is worth the time and money for the audiobook and I can't wait for book 3.

honestly other then a little cringey dialog where people are maybe a little less disbelieving then they probably should be, an all around excellent book.

Excellent story, nasally narration.

I loved the byplay between the fairy and dungeon. Narrator speaks through her nose primarily.

Solid Genre Entry

Although certainly not the Great American Novel , a pleasant way to lounge on the couch and enjoy fun
entertainment. The main character doesn't have to be solely killing centered, but is centered on the value of crafting. For once a sharp sword or overcharged power is not used to bore the listener.
