Didn’t really like the title but past that the story was great. Along with all Katherine’s other books, this fits right in or maybe even better. Way t’go girl. Love does make the world go round.

Every time I Listen to Patti Murin Narrate a Katherine Center novel it feels like a warm hug! It envelopes you with warmth and you can't help but settle in! As usual, the characters are lovable and complex, and you want to re-listen as soon as the story is done.

I’ve only recently discovered Katherine Center and now I love her so much! This book was so much more than a typical “women’s fiction” (god, I hate that designation), rom com or whatever. Heartfelt and sweet, grounded in reality, it’s filled with characters that felt so real that I wish I knew them irl. It’s a terrific story, well told and well read.

Don’t skip the author’s note. I usually do, but because this one was longer than I’ve seen before, I gave it a shot. So glad I did.

But Katie, girl, keep your cellphone in your bra!

Now I want to move to Florida!

It's mostly fine, but too overly simplistic and direct for readers of the genre

The authour also subverts their own character growth for the sake of plot points, which is poor writing

A Beginner's Romance Novel

I was very hopeful for the book. It’s my first time reading/ listening to this author. I found the narrator okay, but no real distinction between characters. The female character was a bit too self deprecating for me and I wanted to yell at her “Just get on with it already!” There was some kissing, but not enough spice for my liking (especially with a summer read). I did like the “gals” in the community of retirees, but it wasn’t enough for me. The story fell flat.
