As she works with the deacon's son to unravel the mystery behind the crime, it becomes undeniably clear that a reckoning has come to town - but it isn't until another obituary arrives that they realize the true depths of the danger they've waded into.

Two women, separated by a hundred years, must uncover the secrets within the borders of their own town before it's too late and they lose their future - or their very souls.

Strong Dual timeline

Both of the timelines shared in this book are extremly well written and had me guessing who could be the cause of all this trouble. Breathtaking writing and fear displayed openly for all to see. Had me on the edge of my seat, and even with all of my guesses and trying to pin the writing along side I still got it wrong.

This will be a re read for sure and the narration was complex each character had their own voice view and worth
