My god this was by far the most vile and nauseating thing I’ve ever read/heard. And I loved everything about it!!! I am both impressed and horrified that audible’s algorithm picked this out for me, but it’s been recommending it for ages, so I finally decided to give it a go. Wow wow wow. Thanks audible, now I’m gonna have to listen to all of Beauregard’s books. I’m officially disgusted beyond belief……. And totally hooked!

I didn't know what to read anymore until I heard of this author. The story is sick and twisted and I love every minute of it.

This book is one of the most vile story I’ve ever read but incredibly well written. The way the author describes the horrific scenes make them so believe, that an actual human could do this (and yes at some part of the book I could imagine some of our real life serial killers would have done).

This book is for a mature audience and is not for the faint of hearts or if you have triggers (believe me do your research beforehand). I will definitely read more from this author, it has opened up a new genre for me

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!This story pulls no punches. It’s the most disturbing thing I’ve ever listened to..by far! If you want to be disgusted and creeped out this is a must listen! Loved every second

Perfectly Disgusting and Horrifying

I was expecting gross but the "twists" at the end killed it. *Spoilers * a woman can't do that with her body and run away. An evil ring of cannibals .... no thanks. The story could have been really horrific if it had been grounded but it got cartoonish. Finished it but won't listen again.

I was dubious about this book after seeing it recommended by Audible and seeing the length, but I am morbidly and pleasantly surprised. Lila's performance carried this book completely, the story being what it is.

Gory, visceral and a bit campy are the trademarks of good splatter horror. This book has all three in spades, but the ending is where it fell apart for me a bit. I understand the author's need to validate the events, but the end came off a bit lazy and a little overly Hollywood for me.

Everyone in this book aside from the heroine deserved their comeuppance, but this veered tragically from the grounded and believable into a sloppy B movie script.

Enjoy "The Slob" for what it is, but keep your expectations low and a vomit bucket near by.

Holy Crap

The author clearly doesn’t understand anything about female anatomy. The “twist ending” was not only unnecessary as a whole, but homophobic as well. The whole thing reads like a 14 year old living in their mom’s basement trying to be edgy wrote it. I wouldn’t call this splatter-punk. It’s simply gross and badly written.

Horribly Written

Completely over the top graphic. I watch a lot of true crime and listen to horror podcasts. Nothing even comes close to this level of unnecessary violence and overly descriptive scenes of beating and rape of a pregnant woman, murdering her baby, cannibalism, suicide murder... Just gross!!! The author should seek psychiatric care!
