Nina once bought into the idea that her fancy liberal arts degree would lead to a fulfilling career. When that dream crashed, she turned to stealing from rich kids in LA alongside her wily Irish boyfriend, Lachlan. Nina learned from the best: Her mother was the original con artist, hustling to give her daughter a decent childhood despite their wayward life. But when her mom gets sick, Nina puts everything on the line to help her, even if it means running her most audacious, dangerous scam yet.

Description
The best-selling author of The Last Mrs. Parrish returns with a psychological thriller, filled with chilling serpentine twists, about a woman fighting to hold onto the only family she's ever loved - and how far she'll go to preserve it.
Named one of the most anticipated thrillers of the year by Goodreads, Bustle, SheReads, and Library Journal
Breezing into the tony seaside paradise of Westport, Connecticut, gorgeous 30-something Piper Reynard sets down roots, opening a rehab and wellness space and joining a local yacht club. When she meets Leo Drakos, a handsome, successful lawyer, the wedding ring on his finger is the only thing she doesn’t like about him. Yet as Piper well knows, no marriage is permanent.
Meanwhile, Joanna has been waiting patiently for Leo, the charismatic man she fell in love with all those years ago, to re-emerge from the severe depression that has engulfed him. Though she’s thankful when Leo returns to his charming, energetic self, paying attention again to Evie and Stelli, the children they both love beyond measure, Joanna is shocked to discover that it’s not her loving support that’s sparked his renewed happiness - it’s something else. Piper. Leo has fallen head over heels for the flaky, New Age-y newcomer, and unrepentant and resolute, he's more than willing to leave Joanna behind, along with everything they’ve built. Of course, he assures her, she can still see the children.
Joanna is devastated - and determined to find something, anything, to use against this woman who has stolen her life and her true love. As she digs deeper into Piper’s past, Joanna begins to unearth disturbing secrets...but when she confides to her therapist that she fears for the lives of her ex-husband and children, her concerns are dismissed as paranoia. Can she find the proof she needs in time to save them?

Do not waste your money
I often finish stories that are bad as a way to kill time cleaning or working. This one was too painful to even do that. I don't recall ever writing a bad review but the language and the ideas in this book are so unbelievable, I found myself laughing out loud. Very disappointed.

I'm glad that I listened to this book. Sometimes I think that I'm audiobook jaded because I've listened to so many that it's difficult to keep my interest anymore. This book kept my interest and did not disappoint in any way. I recommend it.

Save your credit, seriously.
I like the authors other books. I like the narration. The story is horrible. There are so many tiny, details that the author gets wrong it’s virtually impossible to stay in the story. People that are into “health food” haven’t eaten carob since the early 80’s. Lululemon doesn’t sell “tan” shorts, ever. There is no grass in December in Bar Harbor. I could go on.

Finished it in a day!
I was waiting for this one as I’m a huge Liv C and Julia W fan! It didn’t disappoint. Great narration as usual, story was on point and all loose ends were tied by the finale. There is a twist and it’s a good one; maybe a little generic but the story to go with it makes up for the lack of true shock. All in all I give this book a 4.5!

Not a fan ☹️
I’m so disappointed in this book. I was so excited starting it, and now finishing it I’m like wth just happened? To me it was just very unrealistic, and I didn’t like how they portrayed Joanna. I LOVE Julia Whelan, but the other narrator made me cringe. All in all, not for me.

I tried to like this but it was futile
I’m usually not mislead by reviews this badly but I fell for the great reviews. I honestly don’t understand it. The book was so bad. The characters were annoying and I was even offended at times by the females being so petty. Ugh. It such a waste of listening time. The only positives were the narrator and a fairly intriguing twist at the end but it in no way made up for the rest.

Their best book so far!
The Constantine sisters seem to have a knack of writing great fast paced books with clever twists and turns. I like that they are never disturbing or far fetched.
I have listened to all their books and this one is the best one. I also loved The Last Mrs. Parrish. The narrators never disappoint and I have listened to many books read by them. I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!

I felt cheated
This book ends up being exactly about what the title says: a wife stalker. However, the first two-thirds of the book takes you in a different direction and you believe the version of events presented. Then suddenly, there are a few clues that all is not what it seems. Turns out, the authors employ a trick that has little to do with the story itself but all about how the story is told. I ended up feeling cheated and a little robbed that I'd been duped. It's not the quality of the writing, the characters or the story, but rather a trick the authors employ to keep you on tenterhooks, then later reveal the missing pieces. I felt really let down by the ending, even though it was supposed to be "clever." If you get this book, you'll get hooked in and enjoy the ride. But I wonder if you'll ultimately feel let down like I did?
