À propos de cet audio

A psychological suspense novel of obsession and dangerous love. The new, updated edition of Too Late from the number one New York Times best-selling author of Verity.

Sloan will go through hell and back for those she loves. And she does so, every single day. Caught up with the alluring Asa Jackson, a notorious drug trafficker, Sloan has finally found a lifeline to cling to, even if it’s meant compromising her morals. She was in dire straits trying to pay for her brother’s care until she met Asa. But as Sloan became emotionally and economically reliant on him, he in turn developed a disturbing obsession with her—one that becomes increasingly dangerous every day.

When undercover DEA Agent Carter enters the picture, Sloan’s surprised to feel an immediate attraction between them, despite knowing that if Asa finds out, he will kill him. And Asa has always been a step ahead of everyone in his life, including Sloan. No one has ever gotten in his way.

No one except Carter.

Together, Sloan and Carter must find a way out before it’s too late....

Exciting and couldn’t put it down! An excellent book! Twists and turns! Riveting! I hope they make this into a movie! It’s a fantastic drama, well written and recorded!

This needs to be made into a movie!

I absolutely loved this book. I feel that there could have been a better match for the person reading Asas chapters but that is my only "performance" critique. Great book, great story.

I couldnt stop listening!

I'm new to audiobooks, perfect for factory work to listen to a good story and work. What stood out to me the most was Sloan's narrator Maxine. I did not like the way she sounded narrating a man's voice. I personally feel like if she would have read it normally maybe with a bit of emotion instead of rasping her voice to make it sound masculine would have been 100 times better. I hope that she changes the way she narrates a guy's voice but until then I'll be avoiding any titles with her as a narrator. Overall the story was pretty good, unnecessarily graphic during sex scenes, kinda took me by surprise. Love the uniqueness of telling the story in 3 different points of view. I wish there would've been some more points of view like Dalton's point of view he seemed like such a interesting character. Asa was beautifully written. The story was very good and I'm recommending the actual book to my partner for her to read
