Never a dull moment!! Amazingly thrilling.
Another one of her amazing thrilling books. Shari Lapena has never disappointed a reader. She did it again. Brilliantly written and amazing storyline.
Great book with lots of surprises. Unpredictable and a diabolical plot. You could not guess the killer and that is a plus.
Wonderfully narrated and she captured you and carried you through the storyline . Very enjoyable book.

Decent enough story
The story was decent enough. Moved fast. Every character in the book was given a perspective. This didn't give much character depth to anyone more a quick view to each person. I would call this book a "beach read in the mystery genre". I liked it. It was easy. Didn't require much thought. Well written.

Couldn’t keep my interest
This book was fine. Nothing stood out about it. Many of its themes and plot points felt gratuitous or otherwise sycophantic. Oftentimes, I felt like I was listening to a book written by AI. I didn’t hate this but I didn’t enjoy it either. I liked the premise well enough but the author hardly went into depth with any detail so it all felt very surface level and uninteresting.

What Have YOU Done Shari?
I usually love Lapena’s style of straight to action twisty turny thriller but this one was all kinds of no for me. The dialogue had weird choices for teens making them sound straight out of a 60s sitcom; the twist wasn’t a twist, more of an odd choice; the ghost element was unnecessary; and it should’ve included a trigger warning for pedophilia. Overall, not worth the read at all.
