"This is a very difficult letter to write. I hope you will not hate us too much.... My son broke into your home recently while you were out." In a quiet, leafy suburb in upstate New York, a teenager has been sneaking into houses - and into the owners' computers as well - learning their secrets, and maybe sharing some of them, too. Who is he, and what might he have uncovered? After two anonymous letters are received, whispers start to circulate, and suspicion mounts. And when a woman down the street is found murdered, the tension reaches the breaking point.

Histoire
You're home making dinner for your husband. You expect him any second. The phone rings - it's the call you hoped you'd never get. You jump in your car and race to a neighborhood you thought you'd never visit. You peer into the dark, deserted building. You brace yourself for the worst. And then, you remember nothing else. They tell your husband you've been in an accident. You lost control of your car as you sped through the worst side of town. The police suspect you were up to no good. But your husband refuses to believe it.

Ava only left her daughter in the pushchair for five minutes. The buckle was fastened, and she was sure it was safe. But when she came downstairs, the door was open and Abi was gone - she walked down the road, past the Lovegoods' house, and was never seen again. A year later, the Lovegoods throw a housewarming party, showing off the results of their renovation. Ava doesn’t want to go. She can’t bear to look down that end of the road, to see the place where Abi vanished, and she doesn’t want to spend time with people who don’t share her grief.

Description
An instant New York Times best seller!
“The End of Her will keep you guessing right up to the end...once you pick it up, you will not want to put down." (USA Today)
The new domestic suspense novel from the New York Times best-selling author of The Couple Next Door and Someone We Know
A long-ago accident - and a visitor from out of the blue....
Stephanie and Patrick are adjusting to life with their colicky twin girls. The babies are a handful, but even as Stephanie struggles with the disorientation of sleep deprivation, there's one thing she's sure of: She has all she ever wanted.
Then Erica, a woman from Patrick's past, appears and makes a disturbing accusation. Patrick had always said his first wife's death was an accident, but now Erica claims it was murder.
Patrick insists he's innocent, that this is nothing but a blackmail attempt. Still, Erica knows things about Patrick - things that make Stephanie begin to question her husband. Stephanie isn't sure what, or who, to believe. As Stephanie's trust in Patrick begins to falter, Patrick stands to lose everything. Is Patrick telling the truth - is Erica the persuasive liar Patrick says she is? Or has Stephanie made a terrible mistake?
How will it end?

Starts out with potential, goes downhill fast
The story began with potential, but the mediocre, repetitive writing and poor execution quickly set in. The story jumped all over the place and it felt like it wasn't edited at all. The writing was overly descriptive and juvenile, as if a freshman English major wrote it. it jumped all over the place and the ending was abrupt and frustrating, after wasting so many hours hoping it would get better. I have no idea why I finished this book, and don't know where any of these positive reviews are coming from.

So bad. So so bad.
Not since Tommy Wiseau's "The room" have I put myself through a story that is so bad I feel as if the theory of evolution can't possibly be fact. There is probably an entire book that could be written on how many times you will say "dafuq" "why do I care about this character?" and "why does that even matter?" I am struggling to believe this author wrote this. The narrator was amazing, a 5 star effort. The story is less than a zero.

Definitely worth the credit
Finished this one a while ago but for some reason haven't reviewed it here.
Very suspenseful, smart, drew me in instantly and I couldn't put it down. Loved almost everything about this book, but the end was a little underwhelming and lacked some catharsis for me.
The only thing that doesn't make any sense to me is how come the rich couple couldn't afford some help with their twins. They are so sleep deprived, cannot funcfion, work, they are totally miserable for months and nobody thought of hiring a nanny for a few hours a day, not to mention we are talking TWINS. I don't know why it bothered me so much....I guess it made the story less credible.
Despite this, I highly recommend this title, enjoyable and the narration is top notch!

The End Couldn't Come Soon Enough
A sophomoric attempt at a page-turner-- Instead, I just wanted to turn it off. Wooden, two dimensional characters; too many contrived sub-plots; and babies that only existed as a prop with no real human presence were big turn-offs. I'm glad I stuck it out to the end though, to see a completely ridiculous character turn-around, and another character exit the story with barely a thought-- No thank you!

You know a book is boring when you have to rewind to listen to chapters over again because you’re sure you must’ve missed some thing because the story makes no sense And is so boring. I had to do that three times with this book. Not worth it. A definite pass. Total disappointment.

Repetitious
The basic story was interesting, although predictable. However, I almost gave up on it after reading page, after page, after page of how tired the main character was! How many times do we have to hear she isn’t sleeping because her babies have colic! And that’s her excuse for everything! Then there’s the part about safe deposit boxes, unrealistic, and impossible!

Male voice 👎
HATED the male voice throughout the book. It made it difficult to listen all the way through.
