In a genre full of arrogant and self-serving stories with protagonists who are as boring as they are overpowered, You Are Summoned is a breath of fresh air. The story is easy to follow, doesn't info-dump like so many others, and actually makes the LitRPG theme fun and not an obstacle to enjoy the writing.

The protagonist is not an idiot or an angsty man-child. He is just your average man. Doing his best and helping those around him and progressing in his own journey. The only issue I have right now is that the second book hasn't been turned into an Audiobook, but as I am currently reading it, I just cannot wait to hear more from Eric Jason Martin and Dean Henegar.

I'll be listening to this again in the future, that's for sure. This author clearly has skills in writing and telling a story.

mix of earth and a few different locals. picks up a little more in the 2nd half. characters felt flushed out, narration was good.

I will continue to listen when the next one comes out.
