  • 5 Easy Beauty Practices To Remind You Of Your Worth And Who You Are
    Sep 15 2025

I want to preface this episode with a couple of things:

#1 - You don't owe the world "your pretty"

#2 - The self-care in this episode is less about performance and more about affirming your worth, reminding yourself of who you are and feeling great about yourself, FOR YOU

In this episode of the Brown Girl Self-Care Podcast, I'm giving you five simple beauty practices that serve as daily reminders of self-worth and identity. These are not about chasing trends or fitting into outside standards. It's about choosing rituals that ground you, feel authentic, and help you move through life's transitions with confidence and more self-love.

  • My Sleep Has Been Wrecked. Here’s How I’m Starting Over
    Sep 8 2025

My sleep has been wrecked since I moved. Last year I had the perfect setup: a bed that supported me, a routine that worked, and deep, consistent rest. Now? I’m on a futon, waking up at 4 a.m. to take my daughter to work, and dragging through the day.

    n this episode I'm sharing:

    • Why fall naturally shifts your body’s sleep rhythm (and how to work with it)
    • The basics I’m returning to: earlier bedtimes, wind-down rituals, and morning light
    • Tangible adjustments that help: showers or baths at night, better pillows, and bedding that supports you
    • The tools I’m using to stay accountable
    • Why great sleep is not a luxury for Black women, but a necessity

If your sleep has been off, you’ll leave this episode with practical ways to reset and reclaim real rest this season.

  • 5 for 50: The Truths I’m Carrying Into This New Decade
    Aug 25 2025

This week I turn 50. Instead of balloons or cake, I’m marking this milestone by sharing five truths that feel carved into me now. Call it my 5 for 50. These are the lessons I’m carrying into this next decade—about boundaries, embodiment, reciprocity, friendship, and trusting the timing of my life.

If you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s, I hope you hear yourself in these truths. And if you’re younger, I hope you take them as reminders to claim your life sooner rather than later.

    In this episode I share:

    • Why I will no longer overexplain myself
    • How my body, not the clock, sets the pace for my life
    • The line I’ve drawn around reciprocity in relationships and work
    • The honest truth about not knowing how to be a good friend until later in life
    • Why I am no longer comparing my timeline to anyone else’s

    Mentioned in this episode:

    • Book a B.E.I.N.G. Session
