  • Coming-of-Screen With...Matthew Parkhill
    Mar 4 2026

This interview is with 'Young Sherlock’ series creator Matthew Parkhill. The new Prime Video series follows a younger iteration of Sherlock Holmes, before he became the savvy detective we know him for in the Arthur Conan Doyle books.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays the main character, who is blamed for a crime he did not commit, leading him to join forces with James Moriarty to prove his innocence and solve the mystery. This turn of events ultimately opens Sherlock’s eyes to traumas that he harbors and remaining questions surrounding a family loss.

In this conversation with Matthew, we discussed more about what interested him in telling the story of a character we know and love at different stage of his life, how Episode 5 changes the course of the series in significant ways, and how Moriarty’s perspective of Sherlock shifts by the end, planting the seeds for their eventual rivalry.

  • Coming-of-Screen With...Emma Higgins and Kate Hallett
    Mar 3 2026

This interview is with Emma Higgins and Kate Hallett, the director and lead actress of ‘Sweetness’, a coming-of-age thriller that follows a superfan who is accidentally hit by a car where the driver happens to be her favourite musician.

Rylee finds out that rock star Payton Adler is no longer sober and takes it upon herself to keep him hostage in her home and save him from addiction in the same way that his music saved her life in several instances. Her harmless obsession makes way for an unhinged turn of events, with dire consequences for all involved.

In my conversation with the two of them, we discussed more about what Emma had in mind for the rock star in her debut film and how Herman Tømmeraas became the ideal pick to play Payton, Kate’s thoughts on Rylee’s artist meetup gone wrong, and what it was like to film the electric concert sequence at the start of ‘Sweetness’.
