  • The CABBAGE PATCH KIDS Riots
    Dec 17 2025

It’s 1983. You’re a dumb kid who wants a weird doll. Your parents have been blinded by capitalistic rage. Some kids got what they wanted. Some adults got hurt. Some people made a buttload of money. It was THE CABBAGE PATCH KIDS RIOTS.

Steve and Justin take a trip back in time to explore the moment when all of America lost its mind over a doll that looked like a dimple had a baby: the Cabbage Patch Kid.

Was there any good reason for the violence and greed that overtook Christmas of 1983 besides the doll being “so dang cute”? It doesn’t seem like it. But the deep, weird, and often creepy lore of the dolls themselves is enough to make you ask what was in the water in the early ’80s.

  • SANTA CLAUS: THE MOVIE
    Dec 8 2025

HO HO HO! The holidays are upon us, and the boys are cooking up a holiday feast of disasters, starting with 1985’s holiday miss, Santa Claus: The Movie.

Steve and Justin head to the North Pole to figure out if it’s even possible to tell a straightforward Santa origin story. The lore is messy, the rules are obtuse, and the magic would drive a man to madness.

But the real question is: how can you spend this much money, build sets this big, create special effects this good, have John Lithgow chew the scenery this hard… and it’s still SOOOOO BORING???

  • Cop Rock - The 90's Musical Cop Show
    Dec 1 2025

In the heyday of ’90s adult-themed television, gritty cop shows were everywhere, but legendary TV producer Steven Bochco was the only one brave enough to ask, “What if they also sing?”

ABC’s COP ROCK is a see-it-to-believe-it Disasterpiece and easily Justin and Steve’s new favorite TV show. Join the boys as they reopen the cold case of the greatest tonal mismatch ever put on prime-time TV. Experience the whiplash of jumping from a tough-as-nails police procedural to some of the goofiest musical numbers they’ve ever seen, alongside some of the saddest songs ever put in a musical.

There are a lot of “how?” questions when it comes to COP ROCK, but the big one for us is: WHY DOESN’T EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS??

  • BATTLEFIELD EARTH with Adam Volerich
    Nov 24 2025

This week, the boys take you all the way to the year 3000 to face down one of the biggest, baddest Disasterpieces of all time: Battlefield Earth. But there’s no way we’re getting into this fight without some back-up. Luckily, Adam Volerich, director of the soon-to-be melancholy Christmas classic Drink and Be Merry, and co-host of the podcast Eye Of The Duck, is here to help Justin and Steve destroy the Psychlos and free the man-animals.

Battlefield Earth is one of the wildest rides the boys have ever taken, and just like the pseudo-religion it’s based on, the more questions we asked, the weirder the answers became. So sit back, put your disproportionately long legs up, grab a Kerbango, and enjoy.

  • Vitaliy Versace: Exclusive Interview
    Nov 17 2025

It’s a huge day for the boys as they sit down with the one-and-only VITALIY VERSACE, director of the Disasterpiece classics The Last Vampire on Earth and Born Into Mafia.

From trying to understand his filmmaking philosophy to unlocking his mysterious YouTube page, Justin and Steve had a million questions for the Russian director. And their most surprising discovery is… he’s a pretty normal and very sweet guy who just loves making movies.

The boys also discover that Vitaliy has been involved in dozens of big-budget film productions, and he was more than willing to spill the tea on some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. But like all things Vitaliy touches, the more they found out, the more mysterious he became.

A huge thank you to Vitaliy for taking time out of his busy schedule to sit down with us.

  • DANCIN' IT'S ON
    Nov 10 2025

    Podcastin’ It’s Back!

Steve and Justin return from their much-needed break to dive into one of their all-time favorite disasterpieces: DANCIN’ IT’S ON! Join the boys as they head to Panama City Beach, where, as far as they can tell, it’s illegal not to dance.

This tale of star-crossed lovers marks the swan song of legendary choreographer David Winters (Space Mutiny), who somehow managed to run up a budget of nearly $12 million, though no one’s quite sure on what. What the boys are sure of is that this wild, over-the-top dance flick will have you poppin’, lockin’, and asking yourself one important question: why would anyone ever choose Jennifer over Shotsy?

  • RYAN'S BABE
    Sep 15 2025

Steve and Justin head back to Canada to take a deep dive into RYAN’S BABE, a movie so deeply weird and captivating that its one and only review on Rotten Tomatoes sums it up better than we ever could:

"This dimwitted yet bizarrely Homer-ian road trip movie gets the conventions of filmmaking so wrong that it forces you to question the value and meaning of doing it right.” Daniel Barnes

This must-see Disasterpiecce packs more into 90 minutes than most full seasons of television -including murder, political sabotage, mafia kidnappings, human trafficking, doppelgängers, and dicks almost getting cut off.

They must be putting something strong in the maple syrup up there.

  • The Fever Dream 'Let it Be' Video
    Sep 8 2025

In 1970, The Beatles released their final-and worst-studio album, Let It Be. Since then, its underwhelming title track has become associated with charity events, social causes, drunk boomer sing-alongs, and is probably the favorite song of the cringiest person you know.

But in 2010, the Norwegian travel show Gylne Tider pulled off the impossible by making the song actually entertaining for the first time. With the help of over two dozen celebrities from the ’80s and ’90s, and a cheap-to-license version of the song intended to raise money following a ferry disaster, the show unintentionally created one of the weirdest videos on YouTube.

From Jason Alexander to Ireland’s very own Boyzone, no one on the “Let It B-List” was left out of this baffling piece of advertising.
