News: Weeklyteers who have younger children, or just love Austrailian kids shows, will be happy to hear that Bluey is coming to Disneyland in 2026! Bluey and her sister Bingo will be on stage in the Fantasyland Theatre, along with some comedic actors and musicians, to bring music and games from the Bluey show to life. This time, we get the entire year of events! The first of the announcements is that the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will run through August 9th, 2026. All of the 70th entertainment will return in January. This includes “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade,” “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, “Paint the Night” parade, and Mickey, Minnie, and the gang in their 70th attire. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/disneyland-resort-2026-calendar-events-and-offers/ Starting January 23rd through February 22nd, Lunar New Year will return to Disney California Adventure. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, so Horace Horsecollar will be appearing during the festivity. Anaheim Ducks players, and Wild Wing will be making appearances throughout the day. Moving into March, the 6th sees the return of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, which runs through April 27th. The new Soarin’ Across America premieres just in time to celebrate the 4th of July. This is a one-day event celebrating D23: The ultimate Disney Fan Event that takes place the next three days. Disney Jr, Let’s Play! Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort runs August 21st through October 31st. Oogie Boogie Bash will return for a record 33 dates throughout the season. Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park will run August 21st through November 2nd. December 6th and 7th at 5:30pm and 7:45pm both evenings. News: Disneyland After Dark is coming back for 2026, with a new nite, along with some returning popular nites. New for 2026 will be Disneyland After Dark 70 Years of Favorites, which Disney describes as “weaving together the best of Disneyland happenings, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters.” Returning nites include Sweetheart’s Nite, Disney Channel Nite, Star Wars Nite, and Pride Nite. Sweetheart’s Nite will take place on 9 nights from late January to February 17th, with a new “Celebrate Love Cavalcade” and “Once Upon a Dream – A Musical Journey Through the Disney Songbook” featuring live singers and Disney royalty that ends with a ball underneath the stars. 70 Years of Favorites will take place on March 3rd and 5th, and feature swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland, a Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, line dancing at The Golden Horseshoe, sentimental photo opportunities, and characters from days gone by. Tickets for both these events go on sale for Magic Key holders on December 9th, with general ticket sales starting on December 11th. Disney Channel Nite will take place on April 12th, 14th, and 16th, Star Wars Nite will span 4 dates on April 28th, April 30th, May 4th, and May 6th. Tickets to the event include a conversation with Leslie Iwerks and other Disney Company people prior to the screening, a screening of Disneyland Handcrafted in the main theater on the Disney Studios Lot, an after-screening reception with light snacks and refreshments, and a commemorative event credential. News: This past Friday Storybook Land Canal Boats reopened with the new Tangled scene in the attraction. As guests pass by the tower during the day “When Will My Life Begin?” will play, with “I See the Light” playing after dark. Douglas Fir, a Christmas tree character, and not just a tree type, has begun making appearances around the shopping district. Baristas from the Downtown Disney location have been on the picket line to improve labor practices.
