    Dec 15 2025

Testosterone isn't just for men! We look at the effects testosterone has on everything from thyroid function, sexual dysfunction, and basic joy in life. We cover proper testing as well as the therapies, lifestyle changes, and supplements that can help boost low levels in women.

Next, Dante examines the popular paleo diet and research that looks at the effects evolution, ecology, and economy has on the human diet. Put simply: paleo isn't really paleo! So what did our ancestors actually eat?

  • Eat Clean, Reduce ADHD
    Dec 1 2025

A 2012 study (INCA) that only just came across our desk has huge implications for folks with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly kids! Joey DiMatteo (PharmD, CCN) examines how an elimination diet improves ADHD in children. How much can food choice really affect behavior and can restricting certain foods help manage ADHD symptoms? The study was on children, but the implications are universal!

When a listener (and Josiah) ask Dante about wearing a weighted vest, it's the perfect tie-in for looking at a study about weighted vests and long-term weight loss. Should everyone be wearing these things?

  • FDA Flips: Menopause & HRT
    Nov 17 2025

At last, the FDA has decided to remove the black box warning from topical hormone replacement therapies (HRTs) for menopause after years of pushback from women, and a comprehensive scientific review. We look at the original research that lead to the warnings and present evidence for their removal. Women were suffering unnecessarily because good research was mis-applied, and it took two decades for the government to catch on.

Next, we look at a study showing that nearly half of type 2 diabetes patients exhibit micronutrient deficiencies, with vitamin D being the most prevalent, followed by magnesium and vitamin B12. We discuss how to assess your individual needs and how to supplement effectively.

Finally, heading into Thanksgiving, Josiah helps us refocus and reframe the personality clashes and stress that always come around whenever family gets together.

If you've got a question, we'd love to hear it! Just drop it in the comments or send us an email (questions@askjoedimatteo.com)!
