    Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Spring is knocking on the door. Right now you're sitting at 37 degrees under clear skies, but the warmth is just getting started. In the next 24 hours., A Pacific system is sliding in from California. That's what's bringing clouds this afternoon and a real taste of spring. Down in the Treasure Valley, you'll hit 59 degrees today. That's 26 degrees warmer than normal for late February. Soak in the sunshine while you've got it. Because rain rolls in around 5 P.M. It picks up overnight, heaviest around 11 P.M. Push east and you're starting at 31 degrees this morning. That wind makes it feel like 24 degrees early on, so Dress warmly for the dog walk. but by afternoon you'll reach 51 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Rain doesn't show up until after 4 A.M. Sunday. Northern Idaho gets the best deal this weekend. Mostly sunny today with a high of 49 degrees. Tonight drops to 30 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Sunday stays dry with 52 degrees. Here's your week ahead. Tuesday is the star of the show. Mid 60s possible in the Snake Basin. Almost spring-like. but don't pack away the winter coat just yet. Just a trace of rain, but enough to settle the dust and leave everything feeling fresh. Now the sun's taking over. Step outside in Boise this morning and you're at 31 degrees under clear skies. By afternoon? You'll hit a gorgeous 53 degrees with barely a whisper of wind. Perfect day to skip the gym and walk at lunch instead. Push north and the wind picks up. Northern Idaho wakes up at 30 degrees, but it'll feel like 24 around 7 A.M. thanks to that stiff south breeze. Gusts hit 26 miles an hour today as temperatures climb to 44 degrees. Your hair's getting styled whether you like it or not. Eastern Idaho gets the windiest deal. Morning feels like 29 degrees — that's the kind of cold that makes you reconsider every life choice. Actual temps sit at 29 degrees. Southwest winds gust to 29 miles an hour, enough to make your jacket flap like a flag. Highs reach 45 degrees under brilliant sunshine. Tonight stays partly cloudy everywhere. Lows settle into the upper 20s to low 30s. Friday cranks up the warmth. Boise hits 57 degrees. The rest of the state climbs into the mid-40s to low 50s. Here's your week ahead. Quiet weather holds through Friday. Saturday afternoon brings a weak system with a chance of rain showers that lingers into Sunday before clearing Monday.     Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Idaho Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th. That drumming on your roof last night? Nearly half an inch of rain. Your commute probably felt like driving through a car wash. Here's what happens next. **Treasure Valley**, your rain wraps up by 10 A.M. after one last push around 4 A.M. You'll hit 53 degrees right around 2 P.M. Then the bottom drops out.. Plunging to 34 by 4 A.M. tomorrow. That's a 29 degrees crash in 14 hours. Winds flip from east to south around 6 A.M. Tonight clears out with lows near 30. **Eastern Idaho**, you're in for a wild ride. Rain keeps coming from 5 A.M. through 4 P.M. Highs reach 50 around 2 P.M. But those southwest winds are the real story.. Screaming at 23 miles an hour with gusts hitting 50. A High Wind Watch covers the Snake River Plain and Magic Valley. The Winter Weather Advisory is up for the Bear River Range and Big Hole Mountains where snow piles up above 7000 feet. By 1 A.M., wind chills crash to 29 degrees. **Northern Idaho**, you get mixed precipitation from 4 A.M. to 7 A.M. Bottoming out at 33 around 7 A.M., then climbing to 40 by 3 P.M. Winds shift southwest to south around 9 A.M. The payoff comes Thursday and Friday. High pressure locks in sunshine and mid-50s. A weak system sneaks in shower chances Saturday and Sunday.
