  • Two Best Friends Share How Wellness, Faith, And Honest Conversation Turned Hard Seasons Into Growth
    Dec 1 2025

    Send us a text

Ever felt your body change faster than your plan could keep up? We open up about the seasons that tested us—young motherhood, career pivots, and the surprise left hooks of perimenopause—and how friendship, faith, and practical wellness helped us find center again. This is a conversation about healing from the inside out, where data and devotion meet: getting labs you can act on, building small routines that stick, and choosing community over grind.

We start with the early years, when workouts fell off and exhaustion crept in. The comeback wasn’t flashy. It was ten-minute walks, dumbbells during commercial breaks, and simple meals that balanced protein, fiber, and color. Those basics restored energy and mental stamina and, over time, grew into a community practice. What began with two friends became group hikes up Stone Mountain, shared grocery lists, and real talk that made fitness feel welcoming. We also share how ADHD in our kids pushed us to learn about nutrition triggers and food swaps that support focus and calm.

Then we tackle menopause and perimenopause without euphemism. Hot flashes, mood swings, and brain fog are real, but so are solutions. We talk with candor about lifestyle levers—strength training for bone health, hydration for temperature regulation, consistent sleep for hormones—and why “know your numbers” matters at every age. Blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose aren’t judgments; they’re a compass. With doctors, nurses, and nutritionists in your corner, you can tailor choices and lighten the load. Most of all, we frame wellness as stewardship: what you feed your body, what you allow into your mind, and the friendships that keep you accountable when motivation dips.

If you’re ready to invest in yourself with kindness and consistency, hit play, take a walk with us, and grab one small habit you can keep. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review with the one change you’re committing to this week.

“You Will Love Again. That’s if You Want To.” is a heart-to-heart conversation for anyone who’s been through the wreckage of divorce, disappointment, or a broken promise—and isn’t sure if real, healthy love is still possible.

In this episode, Bill & Sonya get honest about what it actually takes to open your heart again after deep hurt. No fairy tales. No church clichés. Just real talk, faith, and practical wisdom from a couple who has walked through divorce, blended family dynamics, and the slow, holy work of rebuilding trust.

    Together, we explore:

    • Why healing is both God’s promise and your decision
    • How fear, shame, and comparison quietly sabotage new love
    • The difference between “I miss being in a relationship” and “I’m ready to love well”
    • What it looks like to guard your heart without hardening it
    • How to invite God into your love story—this time, on purpose

If you’re divorced, in a complicated relationship, or cautiously hopeful about loving again, this episode will remind you that you are not disqualified from covenant love. You do have a say in your healing. And when you partner your willingness with God’s grace, “You Will Love Again” becomes more than a title—it becomes your testimony.

  • This Can’t Be Happening: Facing the Fog of Denial After Divorce
    May 9 2025

    Send us a text

Why It’s Crucial to Acknowledge Denial Early

    1. Healing starts with honesty.
If you can’t name where you are, you can’t move forward. Recognizing denial opens the door to deeper emotional work.
    2. Unspoken pain becomes silent poison.
What you refuse to face will eventually show up—often through anxiety, resentment, or emotional shutdown.
    3. Time doesn't heal what you avoid.
You can’t skip steps on the road to recovery. Denial delays your arrival to peace, joy, and new beginnings.

How to Gently Step Out of Denial

    • Speak it out loud.
Say the words: “I am divorced.” Not to shame yourself, but to acknowledge your present. That statement, though hard, is powerful.
    • Write the truth.
Journaling allows your heart to speak when your mouth cannot. What is really hurting? What are you still hoping for? What are you afraid of letting go?
    • Tell someone you trust.
There is freedom in confession. Let someone safe hold space for your pain—without judgment or advice.
    • Invite God into the fog.
Denial tries to numb. But God brings light to the places we hide. Ask Him to meet you here. He is not afraid of your brokenness.

A Word from Our Heart to Yours

You don’t have to rush out of denial. But you do have to be honest about it. The good news? Denial doesn’t mean defeat—it means you’ve begun the process.

You are not stuck. You are transitioning. The fog will lift. The truth will steady you. And yes—there is life after this.

We’ve been where you are. We didn’t just survive divorce—we found love again, within ourselves and with each other. You can, too.
